Thanks so much for creating the record for Virginia Bamberg (#45255887). I think the date on the tombstone ends in a 9, rather than a 5. Would you mind rechecking that? Thanks so much! --Donna Baker

Elbert A. Ingram's Death Date
As evidenced by the picture you have posted, my cousin Elbert Ingram's death date was January 25, 1970 NOT June 25, 1970 as stated in the text.

Many thanks,

Clement's photos
Hi Betty,
Thanks for the photos of Henry and Sarah Clement. Appreciate you doing this. I'm so far behind in thanking people. You did this back in April. Thanks and take care. Edna is hoping to get back to working on family history. Talking about getting a new computer etc. now that she isn't worrying with caring for Dad. Not bad for 91 :)

Thanks for all your good help.
God bless,

I just wanted to say thank you for the information on my great, great grandfather. I had never found any information this far back and am excited to find this. My family is from Tate County Mississippi. My grandfather was Robert Taylor Moore. I have information on my mother's side that goes back to Madison County, AL and now I find my father's side goes back to Alabama also. Thank again.

William Henry Evans
Thank you for your questions about Henry Evans and family. I hope something of this helps. You have certainly peaked my interest. I have not pursued the Evans Hartley connection as yet since they are not in my direct line, but Henry Evans crosses my line where he married Mary Tubbs, daughter of Carter and Pauline Tubbs.

I have a transcript of the cemetery done 5/1/1979 by my genealogy mentor Melvia O. Johnston Gray in her handwriting that she gave me in 1980. She was a meticulous record keeper and a stickler for accuracy when surveying cemeteries and recording the data. Her philosophy was that anyone can write a work of fiction; only the diligent work to record history accurately. I concur with that and do my best to follow it---bearing in mind I am still human and I do make mistakes---though happily learn from and correct them when found.

On that list in order are the following as written by her:

Wife: Mary Evans (daughter of Carter Tubbs)
15 Apr 1853
14 Nov 1926

Husband: William H(enry)Evans (called "Hen", son of Jack and Katy Hartley Evans)
12 Jan 1853
5 June 1912

Son: B. F(rank)Evans
23 Apr 1874
14 Oct 1926

Next to B. F. Evans is the grave of Henry J. Evans born May 1 1884 died 4/10/1914. She has no note or additional information on this one other than the fact that he is buried next to the other 3 Evans'.

I have some notes that I will dig up and see if I have any other information I have not yet added to my database on the Evans or Hartley family and let you know. I love a good mystery! Unfortunately, that is what makes this so addictive!

Thank you again for all the good work you do on the site.

First of all, thank you for collecting and inputting information on my great-grandfather and other kinfolks. I have just discovered this website. I noticed on your bio you stated "If I have set up some of your ancestors, and you want changes made or the graves transferred to you, I will be happy to do so."

I don't know how to have graves transfered to me but I have researched this branch of Colburns extensively for about 35 years. Uncle Ludie and Aunt Claudine have been left off of the list of children. If you will tell me how to transfer the graves, I can update the info.

More than likely you and I are kin as your paternal names and mine are similar. If you want more info, just email me at
