Corp. James Sanborn Redfield
Sam,

I was overjoyed to find that you posted the picture of the headstone for the grandfather I never knew. He died when I was 4 years of age. He was divorced from my grandmother and she never spoke of him. What little I learned was from my mother.
I hope you don't mind that I have copied the picture to my family list of gravesites. He is buried next to his mother, Dollie Bissell, Redfield.

Gratefully,
Mary (Cahill) Daniel

Sleuthing Cemeteries
Hi again Sam. I have been looking for a long time for someone interested in genealogy. We have a wonderful historic cemetery here in Toledo called the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. It is 160 years old & has 65,000 graves many of prominent people. Would you be interested in showing me the ropes of grave site sleuthing here or in Port Huron? I have a very nice camera but need to know the basic ropes about how & what to be looking for. Perhaps you could help me on the phone, or could do it in your locality. I can do it but would need to get a hotel room which is no problem at all. I would just need a heads up to get someone to take care of my pets. I've been working on my tree for over 10 years so I'm not a novice but there is always so much to learn.

Thank you!
MSgt Lindsay -

I want to thank you so very much for your service to our country, and for your ongoing dedication to the people of this country. There are some who join the military, put in their time, and then move on. Then there are those who commit their lives to serving their country and it's peoples. It is very apparent that you love to serve and protect the people of this country, whether as active military, or as retired military performing such a service as this is. On this Memorial Day, my thanks come to you as they do to you and others like you, who dedicate their lives to such service. And my thanks as well to those have been lost in this commitment, as well as those who continue to pledge their lives to protecting us, the people of this great nation.

Many, many thanks.

Perz
I have a request for the grave of Joseph Perz born 1877, died about 1929-1931. He is probably buried in the St Clair County Port Huron Area, He would be in buried in a catholic cemetery.

He was married to Josephine Zawislak, In Chicago in 1904.
They had the following children Frank, John, Mary, Walter, Amelia, Lillian.

Joesephine Perz Gzik(1888-1946) is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery Port Huron St. Clair County
Michigan, USA with her 2nd husband Blazey Gzik (1887-1955). Her son Frank R. Perz (1906-1960) is also buried there. Can you tell me if they are all together in a family plot?

Joseph and Josephine Perz' son, John J Perz (1908 -1983) is buried at Lakeport Cemetery Burtchville Township St. Clair County Michigan, USA
Margaret and Robert Perz are also buried there. You have the memorial for Robert, a marine.
Can you tell me if these three at Lakeport and related? Buried together in a family plot?

Please look for the father, Joseph Perz in Mount Hope, or in Lakeport or any other catholic cemetery in the area.
Thank you,
"lost souls"

Help
Hello, I am searching for my grandfather's sister her name was Luella COLE. She and my grandfather were orphaned and my grandfather grew up in Royal Oak Michigan at (then) Judson Center for Boys at 13 mile and Greenfield Road, he was 12 at the time he was placed there. I have absolutely NO record of HIS parents and the only information I have is that his sister's name was Luella. Can anyone help me here? His name was Perry Fredrick Cole. Thank you!
