You requested some editing to James Hodgins memorial.
I have no connection to this family. I took those pictures and added the memorial. I can transfer this memorial and those of his wives to you. Let me know if this is something you want to have done. It would allow you to make the changes you have asked for and you'd be able to add a bio if you wish.

Robin-I am from Skidmore, MO. I am really fascinated by your clippings from their newspaper. I am somewhat ignorant on how to go about getting information. Where did you get the information from the newspaper to apply to the grave sites? Thank-you! Also, I think it is very nice of you to add memorials to all the innocent babies that died before their time. Bless you.

|Eric Weber||RE: William H. H. Parrish - Smith Cemetery|
Joe Vogan Parrish was actually married to his step-sister, Amy Caroline Hobbs -- a romance born of the blending of their families. The eldest son of Ann (Vogan) and Lewis Parrish, he had learned his trade well from Lewis (an itinerant blacksmith himself) before Lewis died in 1855, and practiced it successfully all his life. His younger brother William, unfortunately for him, was only seven when his father died, and hadn't been taught much. So William was stuck in lower-level jobs in other smiths' shops for all of his short adult life, and that made it even harder for him to support the large (and largely good-for-nothing) family his wife had left him with. I know nothing about what became of his children after his premature death.

Thanks for the update. No, I'm not related to the Skidmores. Marteny moved to Nodaway County from Hamilton County, Ohio. So did my Karr ancestors & Marteny's first wife is buried in the same Ohio cemetery as the Karr family.
