I would suggest requesting a photo of each person using the "resquest photo" tab..... I do not live in PA, so I could not go for you, but there are a lot of volunteers in the area.... You may want to contact "Rich Boyer" as he is an awesome volunteer for FindaGrave.... If I remember correctly, Southside may not be the safest area to go alone..... I think several volunteers go together. Have you checked the BillionGraves website?

I sure could. Here's what you need to do.

Please use the EDIT tab on the memorial to request a transfer. That will give me the memorial rec id and your profile id.

Thanks so much.

It's a Civil War flag marker. It says G.A.R. 1861-1865.

RE: Eugene Owen Hagberg
I was able to check the death certificate for Eugene Hagberg today, and it looks like this is indeed him. I've added the relevant information to the page and transferred it to you for ongoing maintenance.

Thanks for your patience!

RE: Eugene Owen Hagberg
Hi Nancy,

Unfortunately, with the records currently available we can't confirm for certain whether this is the correct Eugene Hagberg or not, but from the uniqueness of his name, it may likely be him. Until the Court releases additional records, the only way to know for sure would be to get a copy of his death certificate.

Eugene's cremains are located in a Community Crypt in the Lower Level of the West Mausoleum, which is an area where there is no public access. Additionally, there are no markers or niche plates on Community Crypts, so even if we could get there, it wouldn't help much.

You might want to take a look at the website that's been set up to detail the history and status for Grandview here:

Feel free to contact us at our email address for a more lengthy conversation, or send a SAC by clicking on the Edit tab on Eugene's memorial page.

Today is one of our visitation days, so we'll be checking back this evening.

If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area, we'd love to have you come and volunteer with us!

I'm so sorry I took so long in sending you a picture. I see you got one already. But the one I sent you in the e-mail is high resolution, so I hope it helps.

God bless, Fr.
