You have taken the most beautiful photos of gravestones and cemeteries. May I have your permission to copy them for posting on ancestry.com. I am also researching Columbia, Rensselaer and Dutchess Counties--- for DeGroat, Ham and Schermerhorn surnames on my husband's side. My Austrian and Russian Occupation Polish immigrants are Vincent Stuzenski and Mary Senczyszyn. They may lead me to PA as well. I will contact you again when I have proof of direct blood line for some Ham surname memorial transfers. THANKs for all your hard work!

I have transfered the memorial you asked for. I am also looking for Moore's. My Grandmother's maiden name was Moore, from Whitehall new york. Do you think we might have some mutual Moores?

The cemetery deeds I have were deeded to my grandmother, Madeline Costello Moore, wife of the late Harvey Moore, in 1942 for the $1 and there were many plots deeded. The transfer was from John D. Minkler and Ruth C. Minkler, his wife. I don't know if this helps but there may be a Moore family link there.

I don't know if I told you this a couple of years ago, but my dad and I were in Tivoli a few years before he died. We visited the American Legion and were told that there were, in fact, two Moore families in Tivoli. It looks like you are from one and I am from the other. As far as I can tell, my grandfather's parents were Frances (Miller) Moore and William C. Moore. It looks like Frances was married to a Miller prior to being married to my great grandfather. William C.'s parents were immigrants from Ireland from what I can come up with. So, at best we may be distantly related but more than likely, our families were neighbors. I'd love to keep in touch. My email address is email@example.com.

|Pamela Thompson||Gravestone Photo Permission|
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of John and Margaret Reaser in Summit Cemetery, White Pine, Lycoming Co., PA .
I would like to add this gravestone photo to my Ancestry family tree, with this included in the Description field: "Taken by Find A Grave contributor Constance Moore Andrews - used with permission." Is that OK?

|Ed DeSteiguer||Oliver Shurrager|
I found the post for Mary Jane Johnson Shurrager on Find-a-Grave. My great great grandfather was Oliver P. Shurrager (maybe spelled Shurragar). He was born in New York in 1814 and died in Jackson County Michigan. He was a Civil War vet. He and his wife, Margaret, had 4 kids: Emma (my great grandmother) Franlkin, Edward and Charles.
I am trying to learn more about preceding generations of Shurragers. Can you provide any information? Do you know about the Shurrager family history. What nationality were they? When did the come to the U.S.?
I know very little about these people. My now-deceased mother seemed to think they may have lived in Pennsylvania at one time. There seems to have been a New York, Hudson River Valley connection for the Shurragers. Were they originally Dutch perhaps?
Any info would be appreciated.
