RE: Joseph Owen
Eric, I am very sorry but I have no idea what you are asking or about who. Please go to the memorial in reference and send a edit message from there so I can see where you are. Thank you Tom

RE: Benjamin Franklin Stringfellow
If your information is more accurate, by all means submit it, but it won't do any good to submit to me. While I write biographies for famous listings, I do not hold editing privileges and can make no changes; famous listings are entirely within the pervue of administration. To request any corrections to famous memorials, you must email Be sure to include a link to the memorial record or the memorial ID #.

RE: William Benjamin Palmer
Thank you sir. Click on the photo you wish. In the upper right screen there will be three commands. Delete selected photo is the first, I believe. That should do it. Very nice of you.

William Benjamin Palmer
Greetings Mr. Buckland,

Would you mind terribly removing one of the photographs you added for Palmer so that I may add one of his nice marker?

Thank you so much,

George Seitz

Edward R. Betts
Just wondering where you found the picture of Ed.R. Betts, Co. A, Mosby's Rangers. I am a great grand niece of his and ordered the Confederate marker when I found where he was buried.
Are you a relative?

RE: photo
Thomas Pitts Brashear was in Moseby's outfit according to my dad. Can you recommend some books that I can read to do some research on them? If you did find Pitts photo in one of those books I would like to see it. Dad says that Jerald Rowe sold that original photo of Thomas Pitts Brashear to a collector but he does not know who. Hope to hear from you. Little Marie

RE: photo
Yes, I am the great great granddaughter of Thomas Pitts Brashear's only brother Charles Hall Brashear, also a CSA soldier. Charles is buried in Louisiana though he was born and raised in Frederick County, Maryland. I had been asking the original contributor to transfer Thomas Pitts Brashear's memorial to me but without success, and than all of a sudden it entirely disappeared from Find A Grave, so I added it myself. I had taken lots of pictures of family headstones in Mount Olivet in Frederick, Md. when I went there in 2010. The portrait of Pitts that I used is owned by Jerald Rowe of Iowa who my Dad found with the help of a civil war researcher and college teacher in Virginia who is currently working on a book about General John Robert Jones (CSA) who was also brother-in-law to Thomas Pitts and Charles Hall Brashear. Thank you for the information that you passed along to me...I will certainly look into it. Little Marie

You added a photo to the memorial for Thomas Pitts Brashear, C.S.A. interred in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, Md. Where did you get that photo from?? Just curious. Little Marie

RE: The Fred Brothers - 43rd Bn VA Cav
I probably got Fred brothers serving with Mosby from 43RD BATTALION VIRGINIA CAVALRY from the regimental history in Virginia Regimental Histories Series.
