Hi, Henrietta!

I'm wondering if you've ever heard anything about a Franklin County burial of someone apparently related to Susan Angeline, wife of William Newton Jasper. The burial would have been at New Friendship Cemetery (where Jacob and Emma are buried, among others). If you've not been to this cemetery, it has a "short wall" of concrete and stone around it. This burial is supposedly outside the wall, in line with the row in which Jacob, Emma, Elsie Mae and Lillie are buried.

Frankly, I didn't believe it until I went there last weekend. I walked down that row towards the wall and as I approached it, I found a bunch of iris blooming, just a short distance from the wall. There weren't any other flowers anywhere else outside that wall.

If you're unaware, my grandmother, Ethel, was known for iris and the story I heard is that she planted these there to honor whoever is buried there.

I've been checking all the sources I can find--the historical society, the cemetery society, all the relatives left breathing!, and I can't find anyone who knows about least not yet!

One person said it was Susan, herself, but we know she's at Boeuff, so that can't be right! (Surely they wouldn't have buried her here and erected her stone there!)

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Find A Grave
I am wondering if you are like a lot of people on Find A Grave who are not aware of the new EDIT Tab on your contributor page, Find A Grave has not told anyone, but when someone sends you a correction or addition you no longer automatically receive an E Mail notification, but under your edit tab it will show you how many edits you have been sent by clicking on the tab you can view the edits and either accept them or decline them.
Hope this makes sense. Find A Grave is supposed to send out a message, but hasn't yet.

Mary Jo Cochran
Cole and Norris
I'm in St. Louis County, MO. Do you know anything about Sarah Agnes Westerman Norris? She is Shannon Norris's wife. He is buried at Atushka Cemetery The same as Mary etta Smith. She is my Great Aunt.

How about a George Washington Cole? One of his brothers is Hartshorn Cole, who Hartshorn, MO was named after. He married Louisa Jane Westerman a sister to Sara. The family says he was killed over a ballgame. His wife and 4 kids ended up in Dewey, Oklahoma

Anything you can give me would be appreciated. Do I have anything that would fill in some blanks for you. Please let me know.

I was born and raised at Raymondville, MO

Mary Jo

Roberts girl
Tom Roberts
Hi, I don't know if you remember me. We met once or twice, many years ago. I'm Tom's sister. I joined this site a few months back, and I am slowly adding information to family memorial pages. I finally added some photos and bio to Tom. I haven't finished my mom's page yet. I'm still learning how all of this works, but love being a part of the site. I just wanted to say hello.

RE: Counts

I have ran into a problem. At the end of June my doctor informed me that I am having memory problems. My doctor has been able to prescribe what I call memory medicine which seems to be helping. Somehow I have forgotten what our conversation was about in June the 2nd. Could you remind me?

Thanks Walter

Wade Hicks
Joseph G. Hicks

I just found the Birth record of Joseph on Ancestry. The actual page where it is recorded, with parent's names, etc.

He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky. I knew this before as he was the brother to my husband's Great Grandfather. He was born before they migrated to Missouri. He was born in 1853, not 1855 as the family might thought.

I will notify the family members I know.

Franklin County Cole cemetery
I visited today and there are new pics up. They've done an amazing job with what they had available. It's still missing a lot of what was originally there, but at least it is no longer a complete loss.

Diana (Giddens) Shrum & David William Shrum
Cole Family
I was at the Library today and I copy the cemetery record for the Cole cemetery. It has David Cole b. Feb. 16, 1827 d. Nov. 22, 1872 s/o James & Betsy Rasor m Mary Springer. At the end it has James was the s/o Hartshorn Cole who named Hartshorn Mo. I also was sent the Cole Gen and it also has a David Cole being the son of James & Betsy. But on the Memorial for David in the Cole cemetery it has his parent as George Washington Cole & Rebecca Franklin just trying to find out which one is right Diana
