I had put the wrong township in for Nicholas Thomas as it should have been Washington township that he was in the 1870-1880 Fed Cen. Probate just says County of Vernon.I have looked at deaths for the state of Missouri but no luck. William N Thomas son Charles O Thomas is buried at balltown and his mother Mary m Thomas at Horton Vernon co balltown nov 22 1954 and I find William N Thomas.william n Thomas live in Kansas 15 ward Jackson mo in 1910. Nicholas Thomas had land in plat map township 36 north range 31 west sec 3 but the county could finf no deed for him. Bill

I really appreciate your effort in searching for William Byler's gravestone. It makes looking harder when one does not exist. William was my 2nd great grand uncle. Thank you again. Ed Cook

The burials in this cemetery were taken from the Howard Co Cemetery Records book by Coutts and Boggs. If you have further info, I'll be happy to transfer her, and/or others, to you. I have no other info or personal knowledge of the family or the cemetery.
Thanks very much for writing.

You are right - one of them was linked to Nancy Skaggs, or listed with a double star as a half-sibling instead of full...
Hope you are well.

Two years ago, you helped me find Peter and Mary Cameron's headstone, in the Newton Burial Park. You also helped prove his father's middle name as Newton. (That was in Peter Franklin Cameron's funeral records.) I now know, Peter Newton Cameron went by the name Newton. The same as my 2nd great grandfather, James Newton Cameron, his first son.
In regard to Amy Mildred Carpenter's headstone. "Gone to be an angle", surely had to be a mistake of the engraver. Do you know the story of this mistake?
I have been corresponding with Bob Bound, who is great grandson to Peter Cameron snd Mary (Pennington)Cameron. He lives in San Francisco, and is the person who provided me with the picture of Mary Elizabeth (Pennington) Cameron, holding him 92 years ago!
Finally, it was strange finding both my Budd relatives, and Cameron relatives in Newton Burial Park. To give you an idea of what these two families mean to me, my son's name is Francis Budd Cameron Furillo.

You helped me quite a bit with some information, and I just wanted to pass this along, about the Bound, Carpenter, and Cameron families. Check out Peter Franklin Cameron, and wife Mary Elizabeth Pennington, here on Find A Grave.
I have now found descendants of the family thanks to you.

I received your request to link Melissa Caton Allen's memorial to her parents' memorials and have done so. Thank you for that information. I thought you may like to know there is another Caton daughter buried at Red Star. Sarah S. Caton married John R. Gordon. The name on her stone is Salla S. Gordon. I don't manage that memorial.
