I used to however, twice now I have done that, and it caused a big fight between relatives. And I was the one that got the short end of the stick so to speak for transfering to a Neice. Then the Nephew got made, and then the grandkids got mad. So needless to say unfortunately I simply do not want to ever go through that again. I don't like family members fighting over a memorial transfer. So I just don't transfer them. I would be more than happy to add links, bio's that kind of thing. Sorry about that.

Wow David!

That is great that you added three more Peters to Emanu El. I do not know who Charles, Madeline and Reda are, but I suspect they were related to Kenny and Charlotte.

Kenny and Charlotte's father, Sam, was raised with his twin brother Louis in the Jewish Widows and Orphan Home in New Orleans.

The twins were the youngest children born to Charlotta Rose "Rosa" and Charles Peters, and their only children born in the United States. Their siblings, all born in Russia, were Jennie born about 1901, Bennie born about 1904, Bertha born about 1906, Annie born about 1906.

Charlotta Rose "Rosa" died in Galveston, Texas, in 1924. After her death the twins were the only children in the family to be sent to the orphanage. They can be found there in the 1930 Census on the same page as my father and his siblings.

Their father Charles remarried, had more children, but never returned to the orphanage to get his boys.

Kenny and Charlotte Peters
Hi David,

Thank you SO very much for the photos of Kenny and Charlotte's headstones. Seeing the number of stones on Kenny's headstone means he is visited a lot. Sad to see that there were no stones for Charlotte.

I had assumed Dorothy, Kenny and Charlotte were all buried near each other. I will see if I can find out where Dorothy is buried and will get back in touch with you.

Again, that you SO much for the photographs. I barely remember Charlotte, but I did grow up playing with Kenny and his cousins, and I do still keep in touch with his wife and children.

God Bless,
