Re: Grant H Dillon
Robin - the 1880 federal census shows Grant H as a 12y old in the household of Abraham and Susan Dillon whose memorials incorrectly identify my grandfather, Grant M. Dillon, as their son. The 1870 census records properly show my grandfather as an 8y old (born 1862) in the household of Jonathan and Jane Dillon, my ggrandparents. I have requested the memorial manager for Abraham and Susan to correct their records with the correct Grant H. vs. incorrect Grant M.

The same with this one Robin; there were two memorials so we deleted the one with no information but your photos were attached. I uploaded your photos to the other memorial and noted "photo by Robin Toms" and your comments. Hopefully that is okay - if not please upload them again to show your name. Thank you and my apologies for the chaos! Lisa

Robin,

I inadvertently made two listings for him and removed the duplicate that had your photos attached. I uploaded them to the original posting and noted "photo by Robin Toms". If you are not okay with this please feel free to load your original so it shows from you. I just did not want to lose the photos - thank you! Lisa

RE: Felton Cemetery- W T Oens
Hi Robin-
The picture is very good- I'm convinced it says "W T Oens" and not "W J Oens". If your friend happens to be back at the cemetery, however, maybe a shot at a slight angle would prove this (or actually touching the letter would show there's not a bottom loop). I will put an official photo request in for the Mary Owens listing, too- if there's a stone, I'm betting it's Mary Oens.

I can't tell you how excited I was to see this picture!! Please thank your friend for me!

Peggy

Felton Cemetery- W T Oens
Hi Robin-
Thanks for the photo of the Oens grave at Felton Cemetery! I have been searching for the grave of my 2nd-great grandfather, William T. Oens, who was a civil war vet in the company listed on this stone. His sister (Ellen Oens Hall) is buried at Felton, and I have a strong suspicion this is "my" William. The photo looks as though it may say "W T Oens"-- can you confirm?

Thanks again-
Peggy

I can't figure it out, and apparently there was no marker. Linda O tool many photos of that cemetery, just south of Emporia. I looked on Ancestry.com, and found a lot of trees listing kids from each wife. Seems like the first wife's last kid was born in 1892, and the 2nd wife's 1st kid was born in 1897. Or first surviving kid, that is. I did change the mothers. Becky

Tanner Family - Bowen Cemetery
Hi again - I've identified the other Tanner family members you have listed at Bowen Cemetery, that I could add additional information (birth/death/military info) to. If you'd rather transfer them to me, I'd be more than happy to manage their updates to merge them with John Tanner.

92258563 - Elias Tanner (with the Civil War marker, who is the son of John Tanner), born 16 Mar 1839; died 1 Mar 1877. Served as a Private in Co. B 10th West Virginia Infantry during the Civil War.

And Elias Tanner's children are:

92249476 Cora Tanner
92249134 Elias Tanner
92248803 Henry Franklin Tanner
92249308 William T. Tanner

Elias Tanner's wife, Elizabeth Schoonover Tanner Jones, could be in an unmarked grave at the family plot, but I haven't found proof of it yet since she remarried after Elias died.
