Diane, would you please link Eva V. Welch to her Father, David Blackburn? Both are in Old Flatwoods Cemetery in Walker County Alabama. Eva is a sister of my grandmother.

Wow...it appears that we are related even if just by marriage. Sam is my great grandfather. He was married to my great grandmother Lonie Plunkett. They had my grandfather Jesse Argus Colburn among other children. I'm not sure when they got divorced and he married your great grandmother Francis. I am so excited that you posted that pic of him. I can't remember if I ever met Francis or not, I was so young when we moved away. I was born in Birmingham AL and still have family that lives around there. I live in Texas now and the Caraway pics I posted were for a Find A Grave member that had requested them. I haven't ran across any Caraways in my family tree as of yet. Would love to talk to you and find out more about Sam and Francis and kids they had together, when they got married, just any information that you could share with me. It is awesome that I found a family member!!! Feel free to drop me an email at email@example.com I could get you my phone number and we could talk. So glad to hear from you!!!

Welch was my aunt's married name. She was a Johnson from Nauvoo. She and her husband Malcolm Welch drowned when their boat capsized in 1952.
