Burgener Cemetery
I noticed there are no Burgeners buried here. Are you sure the name isn't Surgener Cemetery since many Surgener's are buried there? Just wondering. Thanks for all your work n Find A Grave

One More Time
Please delete the memorial you created for my Uncle, Jack Barhorst. It is a duplicate of the original memorial that was created on Jan. 7 and transferred to me.

This is my last request before I take further steps. I would appreciate your cooperation.

Thank you.

Would you please delete your duplicate memorial for my Uncle, Ralph Barhorst? The original memorial has been graciously transferred to me. Yours was created after the original.

RE: Changing of the Guard
I don't understand what you are saying here? The memorial you created is a duplicate of the one I created and has been transferred to the niece of the deceased. By Find A Grave,s rules duplicates should be deleted. All the new memorial manger and myself is asking that you simply delete your duplicate memorial. The one I created was done so a few days prior to the one you created. Therefore yours should be deleted. Please respect our wishes and delete your duplicated memorial.
Thanks

Let people who request have their own families for Pete's sake
When people request that you turn their family over to them you should be willing to do that. If not they will just do as I did and create a new one . I'm positive that you are very misinformed due to the fact you have the cemetery in lee county, va named as pleasant view. It in fact is our family cemetery and is named flag pond cemetery as listing in the obituaries.

Arszman Memorials
I would really like a response from you concerning my PARENTS memorials.

I would really like to be the manager of my parents memorials.

Could you respond and let me know if that is possible and if not why?

Patiently waiting.

My Parents
First thank you for updating my parents memorials with the information I provided you.

I am a serious genealogist and have written and published a book on the family "The Arszman Family History back to 1500" published in 2008 (two volumes). Since finding FIND A GRAVE web site, I have been trying to update all my family with accurate information and taking new information I have received and updating my files for a revision of my books.

The purpose of my communication is to request that I be allowed to manage my Father and Mother's memorial.

RE: Two different men from Vietnam
Robel,

I know it's hard to believe, they are the same person. The photo I posted is from his official Marine Corps boot camp yearbook in San Diego. The color one in helmet you have was taken a couple of months later in advance training at Camp Pendleton. The stress and vigorous environment of Marine boot camp left many of us looking leaner as James. The following stage was relaxed a little and we gain some weight back. I hope this explanation to why they look different is to your satisfaction.

Best regards,

Sel

RE: Meeting
That would be wonderful except that I no longer live in Dayton. I'm afraid you'd have to come to Alaska. Interested in an extended vacation? Ha, Ha! Did you just happen to come upon this headstone and decide to look Tim up, or do you have a genealogical interest in the Rose Family? We've got deep roots in the deep south, Tennessee, and Ohio.

RE: Timothy Lee Rose from Dayton OH
It's not what you might say to me that I'm having a problem with. My difficulty is not being able to talk to you privately so that I can tell you about how he really died. It was not in a car accident. I don't know where you uncovered this, but I would like to discuss your sources.
Your insistence that USMC would not allow him to go so far from base is also puzzling. As a veteran myself, I know about looking forward to that first leave after boot camp. He came home on leave and was on his way to his next training station, not Vietnam, when things went terribly wrong.
You said on the memorial site that you wanted to know the truth about this young man, but the truth is not something I'm willing to share on a public site. At the very least, I'm hoping with more information you will change the memorial so that it presents a less negative impression of him to those that read it.
Perhaps you could open a free email that we could use for this only. Then, close it out when we are finished. That way your privacy wouldn't be compromised.

RE: Timothy Lee Rose from Dayton OH
I'm not suggesting he was in Vietnam. I am saying he was in the Marines and went to boot camp in San Diego.

Is there some way you can contact me with a private email without our having to discuss sensitive details on a public site?

You may have some sources that I could benefit from. Since he's my brother, I definitely have some information that might clarify some of the confusion about his death and service.

I would like to discuss your sources for what you have attached to this memorial. I am a family member and find it disturbing that you would cast such doubts upon this young man's service even if it was short-lived and not as you would deem correct. There are a number of false assumptions in your concerns that I would like to help clear up so that a more appropriate memorial might result.

This is not something that should be discussed in a public message so I hope you will email with another means of communication. Thanks, ar46ja

The issue is not about the pictures. You do not have him in St. James Cemetery, as you don't have him anywhere to be found easily. I have not been able to retrieve his memorial by putting in his name as they require some location. If his marker at St. James is just a remembrance and he is not buried there, then indicate where he is buried or choose to put him in St. James and indicate that his remains have not been found or he is buried in a foreign land.

When you transfer your entry to St. James then I will gladly put the pictures on and delete my memorial.

I received a request from Sel J. Wong to delete my memorial at St. James Cemetery because there was another memorial posted by you. Or would I put the grave marker photo on your page.

Because you don't have him designated in any cemetery and the marker is in St. James at Milstadt, Illinois I don't think it would be correct to delete mine. Rather I believe you need to add your memorial to St. James and then I will add the photos and delete mine.

However since your memorial is so lengthy, it may be that there will be no room for any further photos.

You may e-mail your thoughts to: mandrakes.lady@yahoo.com

For some reason I cannot view the photo of him you have posted. Is it my problem?

Someone sent me a photo of him and I wanted to post it but don't want to duplicate the photo that is currently there but not in view.

Also, James Alvin Branch is now buried in Arlington. I posted a photo of his stone. I sent you an earlier note about his section and grave number.

If you cannot get the erroneous entries removed, have you considered writing out something to the effect that these graves are not in this cemetery, scanning it in to each one as a jpeg, and posting it as a photo so anyone who finds it will see that it's not correct? Just an idea.

RE: I Know Pleasant View Cem.
Robel

I am very dedicated to Find A Grave and it's accuracy is very important to me! I realize you have contacted
me on several occasions regarding Pleasant View Cemetery and Flag Pond Cemetery and possible duplications.
The information I posted came from the Lee County Genealogy Society, therefor I considered them to be a
valid source. I do not have anyone posted in Flag Pond Cemetery, and tonight I did a comparison between the two
and seen that , although date wise, I had posted Nannie Johnson & Leslie Stewart first, but in the wrong cemetery
(Pleasant View) and that Ms Redding had photographed and posted them in the correct cemetery a week later. I have
thus deleted these duplicate entries. I have also deleted Hugh Barnett, the reason I did not at first was because the
spelling threw me off and I did not notice at first glance.
Also you are the most RUDE person I have had the displeasure of speaking too on Find A Grave and want you
to know that you have broken Find A Grave's Code Of Conduct ! The one's in stars below!
