You have listed a lot of Vietnam Veterans. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund is looking for photos of 22 from Indiana. I don't know if you can help them. If you can, I will send you the names.
Thanks--C&Y

Hello, I'm going to post a photo but wanted to apologize ahead of time for the condition of the stone. It was under a solid layer of frozen leaves and it took a couple of days to loosen it and let the sun do its work. This photo is the best I can do for now but I will wait until spring when the ground is thawed and I will uncover the stone completely and take a better one. I have taken photos for many of the KIA's at Union and will be sure to get a very nice photo for to honor this young Marine and his family members buried next to him. Thank you for requesting the photo and for your service.

Jerry Douglas Clark
Mr. Clark, For years I have wondered where Jerry Clark was buried and if any family members were interested in knowing about his last days in Vietnam.

I have never gotten far at all in my search until a few weeks ago I stumbled on this site and your efforts. It appears you were the one who posted his photo, so the question comes to my mind were you related to Jerry. Do you have any contact information about family members?

I do not see a cemetery listed. What does that mean?

Thank you,
John Lewis

Samuel Shoup in Andersonville. I have paternal Shoup relatives in PA, mainly in Butler County but I don't have this Samuel in my tree. On the photo you added of Samuel, where was he from? There were 2 Shoup families in Butler County and vicinity but they were not related. Any help appreciated?

RE: PFC George Steven Sutt

I belong to the local DAR and we were given a list of 86 soldiers to find. I found locations for 72 in Indianapolis and other states. That leaves 14 unaccounted for. 2 of the 14 were drowning victims which were not recovered. They probably should be put on Find A Grave for their service.

I did find Melvin Sink at our local catholic cemetery, but wasn't able to find his grave due to the office staff's incomplete directions and all the leaves on the ground. I'll try again in the spring.

I also plan to find obits for all buried in the Indiana area.

I'll keep you posted on any more that are found.

Also, the person who added the headstone photo added it twice, may want to ask him/her to remove one photo. Again sorry for the delay!

Before I transferred this memorial to you I sponsored it so that you can add up to a total of 20 photos if needed instead of the usual five.
Also, unless Find A Grave has changed the rules the original maker of the memorial is the only person who can change the order of the photos so if you need help having any rearranged please contact me.
I watched the video of you and your students. I must say that is a marvelous thing you are doing. My eyes did not stay dry.

re: John W. Abbott
Hello Tom,
I grew up knowing John Abbott. Our mothers were very close friends. I just saw the photo you posted of John on 8/31/2015. That photo was taken in the courtyard of my parents' apartment the last time we saw John, which was either late 1968 or early 1969. He came to visit us before going to Hawaii for R&R to see his wife and meet his new baby daughter for the first time.
I'm very curious where you got the photo. It was taken by either my mom or me.
Did you also know John? It would be nice to be in touch with someone else who knew him.
Thanks,
Ginny Marshall-Gasparre

I've been looking for Royal Madison for years and just happened to get his real first name today. I checked findagrave and it took me to his pictures that you posted for him. Do you have any contact info for his family. I have more pictures of him I'd like to pass on to them.
