You are correct! Although I find his father's name spelled Odey Neal Cassell. His mother was Iva Pearl Nicely. She died young in 1929.

Odey's parents appear to be William Cassell, Jr. and Indiana Laura "India" Sutton.

RE: Ott cemetery, Monroe co, Ohio.
Hello, again,
Hope I didn't express doubt of placement of your memorial. I wouldn't know one way nor the other. I would kick myself if I listed many members of the family I'm working on in the incorrect cemetery, and would like to know the size of the cemery, etc. If the cemetery has only 10 folks total, It may be the wrong cemetery to place my memorials. On the other hand, I can not find another Ott.
Would you know of anyone who has seen the cemetery?
Someone I could contact or directions to it? Any help is much appreciated.
Sorry to be a bother, and thanks for your memorial which led me to Ott in the first place,

Ott cemetery, Monroe co, Ohio.
Hello, I located an individual that was interned in "Ott" cemetery. Looling at the Find A Grave page for it, there are no photos of headstones and you have a memorial listed. I try to confirm the graveyard exists before I add a memorial. Sorry to question is, have you seen this graveyard or know of someone who has?
I really appreciate your help with this.

Error at St. Luke's
I believe there is an error for the following entries at St. Luke's Cemetery, Monongalia Co. Your listing for the triple headstone uses the surname Rupe. I believe it should be Roupe.

The information I have from census records, family records and her obituary follows.

--Harold William Roupe b 14 Apr 1916, d 21 Feb 1987.
--Wilma Ruth (Hamilton) Roupe b 17 Apr 1917, d 29 Sep 2004.
--Michael Roupe.

Michael was their son and their fourth child and 1952 sounds right for a birth date. He had a disability, which may be why Wilma provided for his burial with his parents.

The listing gives Wilma's birth year as 1916, and I believe that should be 1917, which matches the Social Security Death Index. (Her obituary is also in error.)

Below is the obituary from Dominion Post (Oct/3/2004).

Wilma Ruth Roupe

Wilma Ruth "MAM MAW" Roupe, 88, of Bula, W.Va., formerly of Huffman St., Waynesburg, Pa., died at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at home, in peace, of an apparent heart attack.
She was born April 17, 1916, in Daybrook, W.Va., the daughter of the late William and Lucy (Tennant) Hamilton.

Mrs. Roupe was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

She worked at the Russo's Restaurant in Waynesburg as a Cook. She also washed and ironed shirts for 25 cents for college boys in Waynesburg. She later worked and retired from Waynesburg College having worked as a cook in the cafeteria for several years.

She lived a long and healthy life with her riches coming from enjoying her family, friends and neighbors.

Husband, Harold W. Roupe whom she married March 6, 1939, died Feb. 21, 1987.

Surviving are three daughters, Nellie Black of Waynesburg, Mrs. Richard (Judy) Cummins of Morris Street, Waynesburg, and Mrs. George (Loretta) Sanders of Wana, W.Va.; one son, Michael Roupe, at home; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and nine brothers.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg.

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Samuel Hibbs at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at St. Lukes Cemetery, Mooresville, W.Va.

Arlie Burner

I have no idea. I just was at the church and took a walk through the cemetery and spotted this almost buried marker. I didn't have anything with me to dig it out so I snapped the photo. I found a death in Pocahontas county for an Arlie C. Burner that died in 1915 at 4 years old. He was the son of H. G. Burner.

Sorry I can't help. No kin to me. Just a random photo I snapped.

Yes - Perfect! There was a memorial already done by the VA but I merged it into yours so you have a few "extra" tidbits. You can edit the memorial and change it to the way you want it.

One thing I missed. You need to delete Mahala's father, John Oral Hibbs.

I don't know what it is about linking this family! I have never had anything like this happen before. . . crazy!

Anyway, Mahala's father is Enoch Ballah Find A Grave# 24938533.

I don't know how I linked her to John O. Hibbs (who is her son). I'm in a rush to get on my trip.

Please forgive!
