I have a picture of his tombstone, but there is no more room to add it. I'm not sure how or if you can delete the cemetery picture, but then there would be room. If you want it there.

RE: Mildred Eva Menten Novotny
Karri, Yes that would be great. This is the family that I am working on for my best friend Margie Novonty Palermo who lives in Stockton California. She is the daughter of Arthur John Novotny. Clarence was his older brother and Otto his younger brother. Their parents divorced when the children were young and the kids were split up. I would love to know anything you can share on Otto or Clarence's family. There was a sister Alice too. Thanks again. Pat

RE: Mildred Eva Menten Novotny
I am willing to share what I have and would appreciate it if you would ask Mildred's granddaughter if she would be willing to share also.

I have nationwide long distance and I am willing to call anyone or everyone so we could share this info together and then give each other email or snail mail addresses. Thanks,Karri.

Dryden, Jonathon H.
Kerri, I am a genealogy reseacher from Farnam, Nebraska. My son has a website and Jonathan H. Dryden is one of the research needs that we have. I know that this is the correct one and was wondering if you would have an obituary or know the source where I might acquire one?

Thank you for your efforts in maintaining a history of the many who have traveled before us on this earth.

Dear Karri,

Do you have any info on the Novotny side of the family. I am working on that family tree and could use some help. Thanks for anything you can share.

I haven't forgotten your request. I am waiting on THREE people to fulfill my request for links, etc. to the Willard memorial. They seem stuck on a red light!! Not sure why people are reluctant to addressing requests. They we have to wait a month or more for the Find A Grave people to intercept.
I would just like to finish off the memorial to my satisfaction before transferring it to you.

You say NEW HOPE. Are you sure it shouldn't be MOUNT HOPE? If not, where is the cemetery located?
What is your ID number/

I found this on Ancestry.
California Death Index

Dretta L Lovett

Birth Year:
abt 1936

Death Date:
8 Aug 1937

Age at Death:

Death Place:
Placer, California, USA

By the no. of the plot she is interned in the baby section area. I don't think she has a headstone but I could be wrong. Seems I have worked that area before. Sometimes the headstones get covered with dirt.

I will change it to 11 mos.

I got this information I believe at the library since it has a plot no listed.

I have only seen the Lt. designation referenced in a Sons of the American Revolution membership application. I hope this answers your question. - Amy

Thanks for the information you added to his findagrave memorial today. So, he passed away in 1911. You added an inscription. Is he in fact buried at historic Sacramento City Cemetery? I did not find him on the burial roles there, nor did I ever find any marker for any family member in Pioneer Grove. Thanks for your assist on this!

Hi, Cousin!
Looks like we're related; perhaps 3rd or 4th cousins. Weston Mosher and Lucy Bishop were my 3rd g-grandparents. Their daughter Emily married her first cousin Wm Henry Mosher (son of Ezra Mosher and Eliza Alderman). Wm Henry and Emily's son, Arthur Luther Mosher (my g-grandfather), ended up changing the spelling of his last name to Mosier. A couple more generations and then I came along. I guess that means Wm Lamberd Mosher was twice my 4th g-grandfather.
I'd be interested to share family info. You can contact me via my email on my contributor page.
Take it easy, Cuz!

RE: Samson family
Hi Carrie. I put virtual flowers on all Samson memorials on Find A Grave to honor the Samson name. My grandfather Harry was adopted by Horatio Gates Samson from an orphan train in New York City so I can't go back and trace my father's family. Thank you for contacting me. Judy Samson-Shealy

Thank You, I didn't know what he would write. I met him at the cemetery and he just asked me a lot of questions and had me show him some of my favorite stones. Never thought I'd be on the front page. Go Figure!

Missed You
I didn't know you retired until today. I noticed you weren't there the last few times I went in and decided to google you. I saw the article where you retired. GOSH, a lot of people are sure going to miss you! It didn't take me long to. Have a great time, you sure deserve it. I am working with a Colfax group right now gathering names for the Old Weimar Cemetery. We are almost done. Have been working for months on it. Finding interesting things looking through the old records at Weimar. Take care, hope our paths cross soon. Good Luck with the old State Theater.

Please Vote for Dr. Peers on FAG
A friend of mine on Find A Grave has put on the Dr. that worked at the Weimar Institute where they treated the TB patients. She is needing a few votes to get him qualified as famous. She put a 2 star rating. She asked me to send a request to some of my friends on Find A Grave to help out. I thought of you! His no. is below. Thanks for your time and his bio is very informative.

I have been doing research using ancestry and making links at the Old Auburn cemetery and right now am in the process of helping with the Weimar cemetery. It should be going on-line soon. We have to go through 54 years of death certificates from Placer County. Needless to say, I have found a lot of information on the people at the Old Auburn cemetery. I got "Lucky" when I volunteered to help with the research on the Weimar cemetery.

Abe Dickeson

You are welcome. I just wish the picture had turned out better.

About 10 years ago a group named "Remembering with Dignity Minnesota" added the names to the people in this cemetery. They have done a wonderful job. Here is a link:

I added a couple pictures to your GGGrandfather, Abe Dickeson's grave. I'm sorry the headstone didn't turn out very good. Unfortunately because of the light and the type of stones, they do not photograph well but I will try to get a better picture when I go out there again.
