Thanks for the information you added to his findagrave memorial today. So, he passed away in 1911. You added an inscription. Is he in fact buried at historic Sacramento City Cemetery? I did not find him on the burial roles there, nor did I ever find any marker for any family member in Pioneer Grove. Thanks for your assist on this!

|Louis Mosier||Hi, Cousin!|
Looks like we're related; perhaps 3rd or 4th cousins. Weston Mosher and Lucy Bishop were my 3rd g-grandparents. Their daughter Emily married her first cousin Wm Henry Mosher (son of Ezra Mosher and Eliza Alderman). Wm Henry and Emily's son, Arthur Luther Mosher (my g-grandfather), ended up changing the spelling of his last name to Mosier. A couple more generations and then I came along. I guess that means Wm Lamberd Mosher was twice my 4th g-grandfather.
I'd be interested to share family info. You can contact me via my email on my contributor page.
Take it easy, Cuz!

Hi Carrie. I put virtual flowers on all Samson memorials on Find A Grave to honor the Samson name. My grandfather Harry was adopted by Horatio Gates Samson from an orphan train in New York City so I can't go back and trace my father's family. Thank you for contacting me. Judy Samson-Shealy

Thank You, I didn't know what he would write. I met him at the cemetery and he just asked me a lot of questions and had me show him some of my favorite stones. Never thought I'd be on the front page. Go Figure!

|Glenda Ragan||Missed You|
I didn't know you retired until today. I noticed you weren't there the last few times I went in and decided to google you. I saw the article where you retired. GOSH, a lot of people are sure going to miss you! It didn't take me long to. Have a great time, you sure deserve it. I am working with a Colfax group right now gathering names for the Old Weimar Cemetery. We are almost done. Have been working for months on it. Finding interesting things looking through the old records at Weimar. Take care, hope our paths cross soon. Good Luck with the old State Theater.

|Glenda Ragan||Please Vote for Dr. Peers on FAG|
A friend of mine on Find A Grave has put on the Dr. that worked at the Weimar Institute where they treated the TB patients. She is needing a few votes to get him qualified as famous. She put a 2 star rating. She asked me to send a request to some of my friends on Find A Grave to help out. I thought of you! His no. is below. Thanks for your time and his bio is very informative.
I have been doing research using ancestry and making links at the Old Auburn cemetery and right now am in the process of helping with the Weimar cemetery. It should be going on-line soon. We have to go through 54 years of death certificates from Placer County. Needless to say, I have found a lot of information on the people at the Old Auburn cemetery. I got "Lucky" when I volunteered to help with the research on the Weimar cemetery.

You are welcome. I just wish the picture had turned out better.
About 10 years ago a group named "Remembering with Dignity Minnesota" added the names to the people in this cemetery. They have done a wonderful job. Here is a link:

I added a couple pictures to your GGGrandfather, Abe Dickeson's grave. I'm sorry the headstone didn't turn out very good. Unfortunately because of the light and the type of stones, they do not photograph well but I will try to get a better picture when I go out there again.

I transferred them all to you. Since I didn't know if your sister, I didn't want to shock her. You can always transfer to her after you talk to her. Take care and I will be seeing you soon.

Hi Karri-I found the obit for Mildan 'Mel' Locher..
Locher, Mildan Carroll "Mel" Hughes-(MMN) 81279766
b. Jan. 17, 1914 d. Nov. 29, 1994 New Auburn Cemetery
I still need to find information on Marian that is mentioned in this article. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Karri, it's always nice to see you.
The Journal-Republican 1929
16 Year Old Girl Only One Successful In Teachers Exams.
None of the applicants who took the examinations in Placer County last week for teachers' certificates were successful in passing the county board of education's questions, but 16-year-old Marian Locher, daughter of A.J. Locher and niece of County Auditor C.D. Locher of this city, who took them "for practice," would have passed them had her grades counted.
This is according to announcement here Saturday, following the adjournment of the county board of education, after a week of continuous sessions at the courthouse, most of which were occupied by the giving of examinations.
The 16-year-old Colusa senior, who, because of her age, is not eligible to receive a county certificate, led the field by a considerable margin. Her competitors were all high shool graduates and some had received college and norman school training.
