Louisa & Daniel Hancock
Thank you so much for adding Louisa & Daniel this year. I've been to Stockton Rural Cemetery several times in the last 2 years, and looked online for them, to no avail. I wonder why the cemetery didn't find them. Almost all of Louisa's family is buried there, including her parents, uncle, and almost all of her siblings and some of their kids. Her maiden name is Thrush. I sent in a link to her parents. She had a daughter, but I don't know her name. If you don't mind transferring my aunt & uncle to me, I would be happy to take good care of them. Thanks for the grave fotos, too. I'll be able to find them more easily with the fotos. Of the 9 kids, that only leaves 1 that I haven't found. I've heard all of their names since I was a kid, but my great-grandmother was the only one who moved out of the area. It's been exciting discovering all of her siblings that I've heard all about from my grandma.

RE: Asa Welch and Family
Yeah, unusual. Trying to put this family of Welch/Welsh together has become a real quest. But, there is so much tech. these days to help. As you can see, mistakes can be made with tech too. Good Joke, but glad I caught it before my elders come after me for that mistake!

RE: Asa Welch and Family
Connie, I can't find my original msg. to you; I just found out that the Asa Welch of Stockton is not my family! So, if you connected him to Eliz. and Henry P. that is okay, they are wife, mother and son, but not my family- wow, all the evidence was there! So, my Asa has been found also.

RE: David and Ann Journeay
Unfortunately, I have not visited the cemetery to see or photograph their monuments. I stumbled upon the family doing research on someone else and entered what I learned about them.

I was going through death certificate records and came across it, so I added it. Do the dates match up? If so most likely the same person. I would be more than happy to transfer to your management.

RE: Natalie Weinstein
jewish obit on lauren... same as the book.. her uncle charlie was her lawyer through the movie years on the contracts ect..
Lauren Bacall was born Betty Joan Perske on September 16, 1924, to William Perske and Romanian born Natalie (Weinstein) Perske. She spent her earliest years in Brooklyn. When she was six years old, her parents divorced, and she and her mother relocated to Manhattan. At age eight, her father stopped his weekly visits, and they remained estranged for the rest of his life As an only child, Bacall was brought up in the close-knit, extended Weinstein family. In addition to her mother, Natalie Bacal (who changed her and her daughters last name to the Romanian version of Weinstein), Bacall was especially close to her grandmother Sophie, aunt Renee, and uncles Charlie and Jack and their spouses. Her maternal grandfather, Max Weinstein, had started life in America as a push-cart peddler and quickly earned enough to buy a small candy store in the Bronx. He died at age fifty-five, but Sophie Weinstein managed the candy store successfully enough to send her sons to City College to get law degrees. Natalie Bacal worked as a secretary.

RE: Natalie Weinstein
there is no obit at all.. all my info came from lauren bacall book.. her brother is louis that juno is confusing me .. I know my info is correct. and yes they lived in stockton in those days they could have taken off a few years for jobs or even added a few.. I google her name and found that 1901.. but you had her parents listed.. check my memorial under goldberg last name .. there I listed her brothers. I just checked a photo of her in lauren bacall book.. it shows jack/wife/grandma/charlie and his wife/ rennee (only sister and her husband) and herself ..Mother..interest stuff
