RE: Estelle's Photo
It was my pleasure.

I walk through that cemetery many days on my way to work, and now that I've discovered FIND-A-GRAVE, it seems like a good way to help others.

I've walked around the cemetery a couple of times looking for Jonas Cohen, but I haven't found him yet. There are many Cohen's there, so I'm sure he's just waiting to be discovered.

Best regards,

RE: Bayside
Hi,

Unfortunately I'm not based in the NYC area, so getting to Bayside is something that happens once every year or two at best. If it looks like I'll be making a trip though, I'll gladly claim the requests.

You might try looking through JewishGen's online worldwide burial registry (JOWBR). The link to JOWBR is http://www.jewishgen.org/databases/cemetery/ Another findagrave member, Florence Marmor has been putting together records for Bayside, Mokom Shalom, and Acacia and storing her findings there. The link to Florence's contributor page is http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=47062301

Best of luck,
Craig

RE: East Hill/Brent Cemetery
This one is quite local to me so shouldn't be a problem if you send me a list of names and plot numbers, I am away now for one week, but I will try and get over there when I return,
regards, James

RE: Cohn Photos
It was my pleasure. The plot location for Louis is wrong though. It is 14-37

Chauncy Porter of Price Cemetery
I just checked the Price Cemetery database and they list the 1850-1936 Chuancy but not the 1812-1867. And you already have the plot address for the 1850 Chauncy. Sorry about that. I doubt we'll be able to find him once the snow is gone.

I received your request for photograph; however, we have about 1 1/2 feet of snow so will need to wait a little bit before it is clear enough for a photograph.
