Hi,

I noticed all the pictures that you have been adding to memorials in findagrave. My family is the Grimms of Iowa, and you have so much information. I am wondering if/how we might be related??

Juanita and Leon were good friends with my dad. They went hunting and fishing together. I did not know her full birthday.

great news you had one installed! I will get a photo this week. Being Memorial weekend, Lakewood has a large program and speeches in that section. THe Governor was there last year.

Anyway, I know you can get the marker free but what did installation cost, if you do not mind my asking?

Hi, I am the daughter of Edgar Camblin Hartzer.
Thank you for putting my father on Find A Grave.
Would it be possible I would be able to maintain and edit this information.

RE: Question on Ida Bowsher
We are and I say that that way as she would have been the Great Grand Aunt of my wife. My mother in law was a Bowsher and her GrandFather (Fonda Allen) would have been a brother to Harvey Sylvester (Ida's husband). Do you know where he's buried? All I've been able to locate is his Month and year of birth.

Thanks
Dan

Not sure what to do about the woman who has duplicated all the entries in the cemetery - that is, only the marked graves, ignoring all the unmarked ones. I, a couple neighbors, and several others, actually own the cemetery and we've tried to list everybody and to have as much information as possible. Oh well!

Thanks for letting me know about the parents of Vern Mitchell; I've attached both to his memorial. Please feel free to use any of the material from the Glenada Odd Fellows cemetery memorials for your family! For consistency sake you should cite any quotations of the biography as coming from Tangled Grass: The Story of Those Buried in the Glenada, Oregon, Odd Fellows Cemetery by Kevin K. Mittge & the Siuslaw Genealogical Society (2003). Thanks!

RE: Grim/Grimm
Hello - thanks for the nice message. I have some similar situations with relatives and alternative name spellings. My Great Grandmother was married once before marrying my Great Grandfather and her previous married name was Reed. Or was it Reid? Depending on where I look the spelling differs. So for Find-a-Grave purposes, I tend to you go with whatever the grave marker says, but for a family tree, the alternate spellings create chaos. Anyway, I'm glad you have enjoyed seeing the memorials. I've tended to make them at just a few cemeteries and have photographed every marker at several of them. Take care.
