Glen Karkeet
Hi Kay,

Thank you for correcting that link for Glen. I believe that brings this "find a grave info" on my grandmother Ida up to date. As we had found out from this site that she did not have a headstone, we contracted with the cemetery to build one and have it installed. It should be completed and placed on her gravesite in the next month or so. Thanks again for all you do. Regards.

I have added the note of her father, Frederick. Do you have information on him that I could add to my research. I really didn't find much on him other than his marriage in 1877 to Barbara.

Eliza Jane Naracong Cochran # 40296969
Hello PeachtreeInn,

You will have to request the parent connection for Eliza Jane (Naracong) Cochran, through Diggin for one, the owner of the memorial. We can link up to parents and spouse to spouse, but we can not link down to children. Diggin for one is a great person, I'm sure he'll be more than glad to help. Sorry it I could not help with your request.

RE: Keith Blackett
Hello ! Keith was my First Cousin and was my Fathers - sister son ! I never knew Keith's father but his mother, my Aunt is still alive and living in Northern Michigan. Keith was married and had three children, two whom are still alive and a son who died as an infant to the best of my recollection. Keith died in a truck accident in the mid 1960's as I remember attending his funeral.
What is your link to our family? I can get you more information thru my sister as she still is in contact with my Aunt Donna { Keith's Mom} if you would like. You can contact me at

All the Best

Marie Nelson Otsen - Evergreen Cem
Can you tell me if Marie is buried near Maren (Nelson) Petersen and Hans Petersen? Maren and Karen Marie were sisters. I know that Karen Marie married 1) Swan Petersen who is buried in Lewiston, MI following a hunting accident and then 2)John Otsen/Otson. I believe that John and Karen Marie moved to California according to the 1930 census but I lost them after that.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for everything. On the ones that don't have markers, are they just empty spaces? I'm don't know what the OLD CEMETERY looks like, Is there something that seperates it from the rest of the cemetery? Thank you for taking the time to get the photos & post them. Thank you
Thank you for taking the photos of the Annis gravestones at Elmwood Cemetery. On Ruby's gravestone, the date of her marriage is engraved on it, but the day of the month is hard to read because of a flower covering it. Was the date the 1st, or was it 1? ? Also, if you could, can you please add the photo you took of Homer Annis' gravestone to his wife Caroline Francelia Papendick Annis, Find A Grave Memorial# 39022474. Thanks again for taking the time and effort to take the photographs for me.

RE: Re: Taylors
I am pretty sure that the entire Taylor family is related to me, some verified, some not. Adelbert Taylor was my great great grandfather. If you could add those that are not online already I will try to match them to my genealogical database. Other family names are LaChappelle and Fairbotham.

Thank you so much,

Tom Snively

Re: Taylors
Thanks again for taking photos at Elmwood. Adelbert Taylor was my great, great grandfather and his children George, Emma, and William are related to me as well. I understand that there is an old section of the cemetary that also would have some Taylor headstones, in particular the graves of Taylor twins. I will cintinue to check your list of pictures since I have many relatives buried in Graying.

Sometime in the near future I plan on a return vist to Grayling to visit the home of my birth.

In looking at the photos that you have taken, I noticed that there was a photo of my grandfather's headstone as well. This was a welcome surprise. Thanks again!

Re: Cecile Raupe
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the fast turnaround on my request for my grandmother's headstone photo. My twin brother and I were born in Grayling, Mi. on Cecile's birhday and moved to virginia in 1950. Except for summer vacations in Michigan. I have not been back since 1997. Thank you for this visual reminder of her life and what she meant to me.
