|Lisa Vivirito||John Bates|
Sorry for the delay in getting this done. I've not been well, and also have been extremely busy and have not been back to the site in a while.
You had sent additional information on John Bates (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=9292494) and indicated you made a duplicate that you were willing to delete if I updated mine. That was very gracious of you. I have updated mine, and I ask that you delete yours...not because I care about numbers because I don't...but because someone uploaded a picture of what is left of his headstone to my memorial and I would hate for you to lose that. I have already transferred mine to you and I linked him to his wife. You will need to complete the links for their children as I don't have access to those memorials.
Thanks so much for your patience, and have a wonderful day!

"Jerry" - wanted to thank you for the memorials and photos you have posted on Findagrave. Find A Grave has become such an important resource for us genealogist in just the few years of its existence.Of course grave markers can have erroneous dates - particularly the birth dates, but still the stones are a wonderful documentation and volunteers like yourself are a priceless commodity!

Yes, the Huxtables still own the property. You are right, there were some stones there I didn't take pictures of because they were so worn the pics wouldn't have come out anyways. This is another reason I want to go back. When we were there it was dusk and the cemetery is located in the woods just off the road, so the light was minimal. Do you have pics of the McKoons? If not next time I go I will try to get them for you. Our interest in the cemetery is that there is a young boy buried there, William Gage, who is related to my husband. He died 1827 at 3 years of age. We couldn't figure out why he was buried in the Huxtable cemetery while no other relatives that we know of are there. It's good to know McKoons owned the property before the Huxtables. Maybe there is a connection through them somehow? That property has been in the Huxtable family for many generations now.

Oops! Sorry about that. Also forgot to tell you that I added general views of the cemetery on the main page of this cemetery but they may not be there yet as these pictures need approval first. May be a few days...

I see you added memorials to this cemetery and may have created the cemetery page itself, as I know this cemetery was not listed on find a grave not too long ago. I have been in the cemetery (with permission as it is on private property). I took pictures of all the stones that I saw and wanted to let you know that McKoons were not one of them. There are 2 graves that are marked with wooden crosses, no names though. Maybe these belong to them?? I put all the pictures I have of the cemetery on Find a grave today. Thought maybe you'd want to take a look?
I hope to return to this cemetery again in the Spring as some of my pics didn't turn out so good. We looked for this cemetery for a few years before we actually found it this passed Summer.

Thank you for the picture you put on his memorial #83604566! Are we related? This is my great-great grandfather. His daughter, Olive Pearl is my great grandmother. Do you have any date on the picture?

Jerry, thank you for your message.
I have changed the spelling for Polly "McCoon" Johnson to Polly McKoon Johnson. Frankly I was uncertain about the spelling.
I have an old record which gives Polly's birth date as December 29, 1806. If you would like to have a copy, I'd be happy to send it. The record (which gives birth dates for Polly's children) came from my great-grandmother's papers -- passed along to my grandmother and mother. My great grandmother (Amelia Johnson Widder) was daughter of Aretas Johnson (son of Polly and Thayer Johnson) and Susan Gallop.
Feel free to email me directly.

Sure, Jerry. I am not familiar enough with this website to know if I can send you my email without it appearing publicly. Do you know?

Maxwell's father, George Robert Williams, and my great-grandmother, Ollie Blanche Williams (Smith), are brother and sister.
Such a small world isn't it!
I'll be sure to load the photos on his memorial when you're done. :)

|DiAnn||Bruce & Valda Skaug Photo|
Hello Jerry --
Thank you for your message and also for posting the wedding photo for Bruce & Valda. I hadn't seen one like it, and appreciate you sharing it.
Have you ever made contact with any of Bruce's family? His sister, Caroline, lives in Spokane, WA; his brother, Joe, lives in Jerome, ID.
It was sad that Bruce's parents were never able to meet Valda due to the tragedy. They were so proud of him!
God bless you! DiAnn
