I am in the process of adding information to the History of the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office located on www.WinnebagoSheriff.com. I am seeking to make it as complete as possible, including any available photos of past sheriffs. I would like permission to use Sheriff Sanford's photo as part of that history. Credit for the photo will be included along with any available links. Thank you for you consideration in this matter and I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your images! I see that you uploaded images of the Page family bible & and am interested in learning more about it. I'm a descendent of Darwin's brother, Judson Page & know little about Darwin's family. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!

Hi, Just wondering if you are you related to the family? Because I've known Chuck and Cathy Locke and their daughter Wendy for a very long time.
But I do not know Chuck's father's middle name. You have him as Charles Erwin Locke and his obituary from the funeral home has Charles Elwin Locke. Do you know which one is correct?
I can connect Charles E. Locke, Sr. to his parents, but I don't know how to connect him to his siblings.

Got your message. Sorry, those are the best photos I have, I rarely save more hi-res copies. The stones were in pretty bad shape (as is the entire cemetery), I was glad to get those. In case you can't tell, I actually had to stand in a bush to get a couple of those :)

Sorry about that! Deleted. The Phebe/Phoebe threw me off ... it didn't come up when I searched for Phebe!

There is also a very worn foot stone for the above person at Hamden Plains. It is just barely legible. Would you like me to post it?

How can I correct the wrong information in the Isaiah Adkins memorial. I have proofs that his father was Thomas Adkins and mother Mercy Cook . Thomas Born Guilford Ct and Mercy in Mass. This is a Mayflower family via the the mother Mercy who goes back To Stepehen Hopkins and all this lineage is in their files and also DAR files for Isaiah. His father was from Guilford. There is a good pension record for Isaiah also that I have. Isaiah outlines his service in his pension record clearly. His wife Rhoda Carey Collins was daughter of Oliver Collins of Guilford and his will mentions daughter Rhoda .Also published Ct record state this fact. Let me know if we can do something about this. I am in Rutland, MA at least once a week and when the weather improves, I would be happy to try to fulfill your photo requests in Rural Cemetery once the weather improves. I pulled into the cemetery yesterday when I was there and almost got stuck in the snow as it is not well plowed.

I'd love to touch bases with you. I descend from Ransom's daughter, Nancy, who married Harlow Merriman, of Portage County, OH. I still have not figured out where they married, or an exact date, but I think it would be about 1840. The Merriman's also have roots in the Wallingford Area. I am also trying to figure out how Luther Doolittle of Portage County, OH also fits into the family. Would love to exchange notes!

Thank you so much for the photo of great-great grandma's gravestone!!! I had no idea she was buried with her family - I only knew that the kids didn't want her buried anywhere near her husband (apparently he didn't treat her very well). Thank you for providing such a great lead! I live in the Pittsburgh/Erie area - if I can ever return the favor, just ask!
