William "Walking Billy" Tyler
Hi Linda Lou! I have a memorial listed in the Tyler Cemetery and just found out today that there is another in the William Tyler Cemetery. Since you were the wonderful person who took photos from both cemeteries, could you please let me know which cemetery has William Tyler? I sure would appreciate it. If my memorial in the Tyler cemetery is a duplicate, I'll need to remove it. Thanks so much for your help!

Strassburg Cemetery , Edmunds County, SD

I am curious about this cemetery, I have 3 generations of my family in the Southside cemetery in Ipswich- Kukralls & Kadlecs. I found this cemetery searching all in Edmunds County, do you have any history about its founding? Looks to be Catholic by the crosses? I live in Mpls, was born in Faulk County. I drive to visit my parents in Wecota several times a year and usually travel on Highway 12, not far from here and plan to visit it.

Perhaps the iron grave markers are from Spillville, IA maker Charles Andera (Google him) whose iron graveyard crosses grace several generations of my earlier Czech ancestors in Bon Homme Co., SD.

I'd appreciate any info you may provide on this cemetery.

Georgia Girl
Tyler ~ VA, SC & GA
Linda, Have reason to believe that perhaps my Tyler (incl. Polk, PA, NC & GA) family could be related to your Tyler famiy of MD and KY. Researching William "Walking Billy" Tyler (s/o Edward Tyler and Nancy Ann Langley). Have incl. "two children," to his memorial, Henry (m. Malinda Earp) and Reuben Tyler (m. Annie Earp). They were the daus./o Rev. Daniel Earp and Mary Jane Wiley. Do you know if William "Walking Billy" Tyler (m. Sarah Williams) could have had more then one wife? Not sure if she was the mother of Henry and Reuben Tyler. Thanks!

Hi Linda!
Just thought you & your husband might like to read this article about Busen's Appliance that appeared in the Downriver News Herald:

If that link doesn't work, try this one:

My sister just bought a new washing machine from them a couple of weeks ago, so we're helping to keep them in business!

Hope all's well with you!

Take care,

Edward Tyler Family Cemetery in Jeffersontown, KY
I have claimed two photos at Edward Tyler Cemetery in Jeffersontown, KY and spent the morning looking for it. Unfortunately, even with the help of many helpful, but unknowing, locals and the librarians, I could not find the site. Since you have taken photos there before, I'm hoping that you might be able to give me more accurate directions to the cemetery. Any information you provide is helpful.

Thank you I didn't think my message went through. I am helping an elder man try and find the parents of Patrick Langston. He said they were buried there unmarked and he was having a stone made to put down soon. I found your listing for Larkin B.Langston & wife who maybe his clue to Patrick Langston's parents. Larkin's parent of the same name,Larkin Bethel Langston Sr.1812 Tn. Patrick is 1815 Tn. I see your Greenle name has roots in Tn. Right now I can't really get any further, but your info about the stones being moved I didn't know. I thought maybe the ceme. committee or church had a list of folks buried there.I'll get further with him to make sure I understood him clear that he is putting the stone at Rector Ceme. Thank you...kat thayer

Langston at Rector Ceme.Sidney,FremontCo.,Iowa
Hi Linda, I am trying to help a fellow find his family. He says they are buried at Rector Ceme. and he is buying a stone (they are unmarked) for a Patrick Langston and his wife (his family). He claims there are many more Langston's and he doesn't know who the parents of Patrick were. Two Langston's are listed. Husband & wife-Larkin B.Langston & Nancy Greenlee. I was curious if that ceme. had a listing of more Langston's?

Re: Clifford Busen

Glad to see someone found Clifford's stone--I haven't been back there since I wrote you--got too busy, and then most of the requests for Our Lady of Hope got claimed. I've been taking photos over at Mt. Carmel in Wyandotte lately, when I've been able.

Reason I wrote--forgot to tell you that my family have been customers of Busen's for about 35 years (probably even longer!). In fact, we just had a new Maytag washing machine delivered last week from there!

Have a great day!

Photo of Clifford Busen's grave
Hi Linda:

I did find a marker for Cletus, but not for Clifford. They are supposed to be buried in the same lot, along with their wives, and according to the lady in the office, the graves are all marked. The location she gave me for Clifford is someone else entirely. When I get a chance, I'll get back there and have someone else do a lookup, or have them come with me to look for it.

Take care,

Thanks for the uploaded PIC to Good Hope Cemetery - the memorial of Wallace M Corman. I have been completing memorials for ALL known burials in that Schuyler Co. IL. cemetery (108 done, about 60 more to go). Any additional photos you might have would compliment those records nicely. THANKS IN ADVANCE! -RK
