Mr Bush
I was wondering if we maybe related.
My Grandmother's name was Mahala Bush she married Oliver Holland, Bangor PA.
Her Father was Silas Bush he married Mary Elizabeth Cortright. His Father was John Bush and he married Catherine Mehrkam, his father was John Bush who married Susanna Wolf.
do any of these names sound familiar?

Odin Cemetary
Thank you for the picture you took of Odin Cemetary in Pa. You have in the description that it is unmarked. That is no longer the case. It has a sign now stating it is Odin Cemetary. The paved road is Odin Rd (off Pa state Rd. 872)and the dirt road the cemetary is on is Mina Rd.
Thank you again..

Custards and Place families
Hi Will....well we are double or triple cousins removed how many times I don't But we're cousins for sure.
I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and both James Place (Phebe/Phoebe Winan's husband) and the following other men are my Revolutiony War proven patriots: George Yundt/Jund, Johann Jacob Pfeiffer, Jacob Winans (Phebe's Dad), Benjamin Bunnell, Jacob Transue, Johann Abraham Transue Jr., Casper Metzger, Johann Christian Eilenberger, Abraham Heller, Frederick Neyhart, Jr., Nicholas Best and Johann Simon Heller are all of PA and all my patriots. Do any of the names fit in with you?
I have not yet been able to prove the Custard line as far a a patriot is concerned but I do know my line back to William. Do you have that?
I have info back from this Revolutionary War time on the Winans, Place, Bunnell, Neyhart and Heller families.
I will go through my notes and see what I might have on your Elizabeth you have a birth date for her and her father's name--he would have been William Custard's son? I'll also check my Place info for Mariah...again knowing her parents would help alot. Why don't you email me at my email address: so our conversation and passing of info will be more private. Thanks and maybe we can get somewhere new research wise! Talk soon. Louise Pipher

RE: Rosannah Biles
Hi Willard...
You are so welcome. Her mother, Phoebe Winans Place was my grt grt grt grandma. Do you tie into the Place or Winans family? I also thought I noticed that you tie into the Custard line as well. My grt grt grandma was Margaret Custard and goes back to William Custard. Want to compare any notes?
My whole family was/is from the Stroudsburg area in the Poconos and I spent my summers as a teen it. I've been doing genealogy for forty years--started young---and have tons of info on families in that area. Let me know if any of these lines tie with yours. Fondly in research, Louise Pipher

RE: Elizabeth Custard
Sure, here's William Jr.

Who is your ancestor? I'm descended from William and Elizabeth's daughter Susanna, who married William Place around 1830.

Thank you so much for the photo of the grave of Harry Showers. I noticed that you were kind enough to add his wife. I am going to request a grave photo for her, so you can claim it and get the credit.
Thanks again for your time and effort. It is greatly appreciated!

RE: Hello!
Hi Will!

I actually live in Ohio. Its about a 4 to 5 hour drive for me to get to Emporium, but a lot of my grandmother's family is from there. Her dad's side were Nickerson's, her mother's side were Munsell's. I'm hoping I can get back over there in another few months and do a bit more looking around!

I added the photo that you requested for William J Bruce.
Your Bio has him with a NY regiment but the stone says OHIO. Going by the Location that you had..this is the correct stone but the OHIO on the stone is throwing me. Just let me know if I need to remove the photo.

I may have found the Phoebe Hoyle you are looking for. However, there may be some confusion with the spelling. I found a "Jane Bush Hoel" buried with Charles Hoel - b: 1877 d: 1977 - could this be your aunt? I have already added a memorial unawares that they may be the same person. Please advise. Thanks!

RE: Henry Bush
After I placed the photos on Henry's memorial I noticed the years were not the same b. 7-9-1754 instead of 7-9-1774, d. 7-7-1832 instead of 7-7-1852. His age was 77 yrs.11 mos.28 dys. There were two others named Henry Bush. One was 1824-1908. The other was Henry S. Bush 1845-1925.
