Mary Hale Putnam
Your information is incorrect. I have researched this line in several well-documented books. Also see this well-documented page: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hale-180

The Mary Hale who was acquitted of witchcraft was in a Boston, not Salem, trial.

RE: Fjeld
With 36000 graves, we are about 60% complete. Once the snow clears a bit more, we will be able to make better progress. Please don't hesitate to ask if there is no photo posted. Thanks for your note. Neil

Gloria, I just heard from Sherry. She says, "As best as I can remember.......{and it's been quite awhile since I was at that cemetery}...someone emailed me and told me that her name was Bethie...that's what my husband remembers. I have no idea who it was though...if they don't want their name submitted or their email address, I don't keep track of all those emails."

The child's name was Bethie Hockett.
Date of birth: Jul 26 1889
Date of death: Apr 14 1899

Please go ahead and link her to her parents:
Albert Thomas Hockett: # 10969960
Sallie David Hockett: # 10969964

The three of us have done a fine collaboration here, identifying an unknown grave. Many thanks for your part in it--

Wayne

RE: Hockett
Thanks for this reply, Gloria, and I'm glad to hear that you fixed the memorial. I went there just now to look at it. Thanks for posting the essential part of my note.

However, you have a typo in there. After Thomas Albert Hockett it should read "'s wife." ('s wife)

Also, I checked at okcemeteries, knowing Sherry often has her own photos, and she did have one. It seems to be an older photo than yours, and the writing is more distinct. It says "S.D."!

Then, surprisingly, she has a name for the child--Bethie. Looking again at her photo, where I first thought I saw the last letter of "son" I now saw that the letter is not an "n" but an "a," which makes it "dau." To have the name of the child, Sherry must have a family source of info. I'll write her to ask, then let you know. She has a couple of glitches on her memorial that she'll want to fix, but please go look at it to confirm our reading.

I'll write when I hear from Sherry.

Thanks again, Wayne

I made the suggested corrections to her memorial and linked her parents. I will get headstone photos when the weather improves.

I found a birth date of 1842 in Avery's "History of Ledyard". If you have a source for the birth date you suggested I will add it. I don't add dates that are not inscribed on the headstone without a source.

Brimer
she is in OAk tier 13, lot 179

in the photo you can see where she lies, just this side of the small white stone leaning against the other.

the stone in the foreground is for GROTE and he is in 183 so you can count down to 179

hope this makes sense

GARY MYERS
William Ayres
My name is Gary Myers. My grandmother was Mary Ayers and her Father was Harrison Clinton Ayers who was the son of William Ayres.

I am trying to find out why some of the Ayres went with that name and others changed to Ayers. The Ayres from our family Moved to Kansas and I'd like to know if there was a reason. There was a couple of Dr's in that family.

Any information or pictures would be appreciated.
Thank You.

RE: Catherine Casey Dishon
They were divorced and he re-married so I saw
no need to include him in her memorial...personal
details that I feel not necessary. She is my
husband's Aunt Kate and a very lovely person.
She was a remarkable woman whose children reflected her legacy. May she rest peacefully.

Phillip Hawk
I believe that Phillip Hawk was born in Pennsylvania. In the 1850 census Phillip is listed as being born in Pennsylvania. Sons Daniel Hawk and William Hawk and daughter Catherine Hawk Fawcett state in the 1880 census that both parents were born in Pennsylvania.
