|Roger Newby||RE: Coleman Cemetery|
I have not been to these cemeteries. All of my information came from transcripts made by others which I posted for the benefit of others. Good luck with your research.

Problem corrected. I deleted my memorial.
Thank you for bringing the problem to my attention. Yes, I say in my profile to please check for memorial before creating one.
Sometimes, no matter how diligent we are mistakes happen.

I try to be careful on the obits as to which side of the state line they'er on but it's possible I pick the wrong one. Just let me know if it's incorrect. Kim

Where in northern Kansas? I am originally from North Central Kansas and I am familiar with many of these cemeteries. If you could find out a county that would help.

I believe I ran across an obituary or funeral notice in a paper. Would you like me to find the obituary again? If you contact the cemetery and find a location of those out there, I can go out & find stones for you. Kim

When I put your great uncle in Baker Cemetery, I noticed there were no other Thebo's there. Obit says he was married to Edith and she passed away earlier. Can you add her? I like it when they are both listed if they have both died.

I am wondering if the following person might be buried at the Dicksen Cemetery near Rushville. If so, please add him to Find A Grave.
The Atchison Kansas Champion, Saturday, 1 December 1900
Samuel Gaghagan, aged 91, died Saturday morning at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Ray, 1500 South Eighth street. The funeral occurred at Rushville Sunday.

Mary, I will take the site down tonight, and I'm sorry about not realizing that the cemetery had a name....I will make the correction in my notes. Thank you. If you want the pictures that I posted of the Schmidt monument, you are welcome to use them on your post and you don't need to give me credit for them. Please let me know if you do, I will be happy to send the pictures to your email.

Mary, I didn't realize that this was a cemetery at all as there were no other stones with the exception of the large monument with the Schmidt name on it. I am no relation to this family, I am an avid cemetery researcher and I take pictures of all of the ones that are on the brink of destruction. This one was no exception. I was going to school at the time and someone told me about this gravestone and I went to take pictures of it. Like I stated before, I saw no other stones at the time so I put it down as the Schmidt Cemetery. If you would like, I can take it down off of the site, or will transfer it over to you...you may copy and keep or post the pictures that I have up there, so it really doesn't matter to me how you wish to handle it. Please let me know.

Our records date back to about 1915. Record keeping back then was not high on the priority list but we do have some. Feel free to come by and we can search for you.

Welcome to my world! I too, have often wondered how people get the info so quick. I know how I get it, I'm a funeral director so I have the obit and burial information rather quickly. To help the find a grave community I add their info as I am submitting obits to the paper. If ever there are any family members of yours, that I have added I will gladly transfer them to you. I am fairly new to this whole gig so there are no hard feelings on my part.
