Willis Patrick Newman
Sir,
Do you by chance have any images of Mr Newman's maternal grandfather Tilghman Willis Flynt of Griffin?

Harry Clow Jr
I did take photos of the markers for Harry Clow Jr and Leonore. Did you want to set up photo requests?

There were also some Clows with the Hamill family nearby... I will set up memorials for them when I get a chance. Not sure how they fit in with your Clows.

Joseph Wheeler at Crestview
I took pictures of his wife's stone also. I did find a JT and Ila Walls stones next to Joseph. I did not post pictures of Ila because she did not have death dates.

Thank you so much for posting the information about the Smelley Cemetery where Bridgers Smelley and his wife Carolyn are buried in Talladega County, Alabama. The map you posted is also very interesting. I'm a descendant and was very happy to find this info posted. Thanks again!

RE: James Allen Barnes
Hmmmm.... My James Allen Barnes was born Nov 1886 in Ireland to John James Barrins, whose name changed to Barnes when he came to America. His mother was Mary A Golden, my great-grand aunt. So, either people are attaching the wrong spouse to my James Allen (that being Kathryn Spurgeon), or they are the same person.

[Now, you might not believe this, but I have other relatives in our tree who were born in Ireland, but consistently told the Census-takers that they were born in the US! It might have been a Census error, or maybe the immigrants were trying to protect themselves from discrimination.] Only a birth or death certificate would tell. Or, perhaps, a Naturalization record. I don't know, but this case is still open..... S.R.F.

RE: Hubbard
Glad to assist, interesting note on Rutha Reeves of Granville, N.C. & Wilkes County, Ga,. The Reeves line in my ancestry.com family tree ends in the 1830's in Pike, Jasper & Butts Counties, Ga., with hints of them coming out of Granville. Not enough to declare, however, unless I begin with "Once upon a time...". I will be researching it more later, hopefully after someone finds the "holy grail", family bible, in some attic or antique book store.

Dabney Puckett
Nancy K. Puckett is shown on 1850 and 1860 censuses of Pickens County as widow with her children so she would have to be the last wife. I couldn't locate anything on Margaret so did not include her.

Patti Lee
David and Ada Isbell
Sorry you ran into a rude person on Find-a-Grave. I don't know why people do the work if it isn't to share information along with the photos. So I added the info on Ada to David's biography. At least that way people will know more about her if not on her memorial. Patti

Rechecked the St John plot and sexton records for Magnolia Cemetery. Results were negative on both for Mary Gaines and/or Mary Morris.

Photo request for Mary Gaines
Checked the St. John plot and found no headstone for Mary. Did a search for her on the Morman site familysearch.com and found the following:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M4VQ-S2G

which shows her as Thomas St, John's mother-in-law with the last name of Morris. Further search indicates a marriage between "May" H Gaines and John Morris, 5/2/1825, two years after the death of her 1st husband Fancis Gaines:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VRJB-456

Will recheck the plot tomorrow to see if there is a Morris buried in it and check the sexton records for Magnolia to see if she is buried elsewhere.

Doug Carroll
Sarah Sally Florentine Furlong
You posted a note on Find A Grave Memorial# 48410256 for Zachariah Isbell stating his mother was Sarah Florentine Furlong. Zachariah's sister Florentine Isbell Pendleton is my 3rd Great Grandmother. Zachariah was the guardian of my 2nd Great Grandfather William Pendleton, Florentine's son.

Some have Sarah's maiden name as D Abney or Dabney. I was wondering what factual evidence you might have that supports her maiden name being Furlong. Thanks.
