Hi Phylis,

How do you feel about adding a monument photo to memorials for other firefighters? I have a volunteer who was going to go take some photos for that purpose but yours are very nice photos and could save him a trip. Let me know and if so, we'll work out the details.

Memorial #81848012
Just curious, how do you have a memorial set up for someone with no information attached? I'm actually researching what happened to this person, as he was married into my family. So I'm wondering, is it that the family wants this to stay a secret, or what?

Just not understanding this memorial listing.

Thanks,
Jenae Hedman

Lydia Crouse Peter
Lydia Liebenguth Crouse was the third wife of David H. Crouse, and she survived him. She went on to marry Emanuel Peter and is buried with her second husband in Fairhaven cemetery in Clinton County. You can find this out by going to David H. Crouse's findagrave entry, where there are two entries for Lydia, one in Dayton and one in Mulberry with Emanuel Peter. She did not marry Jerome Crouse, who was her stepson. In 1866 Jerome was unmarried, having just returned from the Civil War, but in 1868 he married his first wife, Sophia Bartmess. Sophia died in 1869 and in 1894 he married Lena Nicely, who lived until 1901. I hope this helps. Susan

Yes, he was right in the middle (#5) of the nine kids. He was the second to last to pass away. My mom was the last.

We LOVE Dale and Patty. Our son was a youth pastor for 4 years at Bay Valley church and worked with them. Now he has a HUGE youth group in Oklahoma of 730 kids a week. We miss seeing Dale and Patty.

Roger Edward Thomas
You can use Edna's gravestone photo in your family history scrapbook. As to your question about her husband Roger Edward Thomas I don't think so. At least not near where she is buried as I pretty much did all the names and photos in the area where she is buried. To be sure, I suggest you try contacting the cemetery office and ask the specific question about his burial. Do you have his dates of birth and death? It is possible he could be buried in a different part of the cemetery, the part I haven't done yet. It's not a very large cemetery, but there are sections of it where the markers have become buried in grass cuttings and it takes some time to clean them off to expose them. I take my husband along for that chore as he is very meticuleous, but it takes time. If you find out he is buried there, you are free to add his name with any information you like and then post a photo request. Either I'll get it or someone else will.

Best Regards,
