Hello Scott,

I found your connection as well, I should have looked it up before I wrote you, too excited I guess (duh, you are descended through Mary). Boo hoo to any pics, but I'm delighted to to meet up with you anyway. I will look into Capt. Hafford for you, I may be able to make a connection with one of Hansel's children, I'll send out letters this week. Do you know that Hansel's gr father Casville was in the civil war too? I'll have to look up info if you want it. Are you a civil war enthusiast? I am.

RE: Hansel T Wood
Greetings cousin!

Hansel's mother, Ester Irene Sharpe Wood, was the half sister to my gr grandfather, Patrick Asberry Bailey - he adored her. His mother, Mary Jane Marrs Bailey Sharp (Ester added the e to her maiden name) was Ester's mother through her second marriage to Casville Sharp. Casville was previously married to Abigail Gardner (of Spirit Lake Massacre fame - they had three children together). Mary Jane and Casville migrated to NE following their marriage (Ester born there) before pulling up stakes and returning to Trenton, MO. Mary Jane was also connected to the tragedy through a brother and a sister who each married into the Howe family - I expect it was one or both of them that introduced her to Casville. I am on the hunt for family pics of Mary Jane and Casville, Allen Paton Bailey or others should you have them.

RE: Hawleys
Yes, we have found the Hawley Society to be closed off, even though my husband's uncle is involved and clearly our line goes back through to this apparently "elite" line! ;)
I have recently made our Hawley tree public so please feel free to look around and see if anything there is of help to you! Good luck!

RE: Knowlton
I know! I thought the same relatives in Union Co. that we know of, most that I've researched so far are from northwest Ohio, Lorain Co., Ashland Co., originally from the east, Connecticut.

I am looking for the cemeteries/burials of: Kathryn F Fitzpatrick,1906-1988, first married to Paul Darius Helwagen and then to Budd F. Harden--I have that she is buried at Forest Cemetery in Circleville--Is she on Find a Grave?
Also for Marye Enola Helwagen, 1916-1998. First married to a Sturgell and then to Barszcz. I have she died in Tampa Florida, but haven't found anything. Thanks

Edward Atkinson Obit
I want to thank you for putting the obituary for my mother's uncle, Edward Atkinson, on Find-a-Grave.
I have looked and searched for information on him for years. I could not find an obit and couldn't find a death certificate online until a few years ago.
I knew where he was buried and did visit there and lacking a marker or headstone, I could not pinpoint his grave.

Thank you again!

Harvie Wood McCoid

I have found that my great grandmother, Harvie Wood McCoid is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica, CA. Being new to the website, I am not sure how update this information. I am trying to see if someone would get a picture for me of the headstone of her and her husband, James Dallas McCoid both buried there. If you could help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hello, Cousin!

Thank you for your message. I don't know very much about this side of my family, as my parents and grandparents are gone now.

It's kind of you to connect.

Best wishes,

His wife Mary is buried with John. I did not check on any other Wilhelm's. You could check with the cemetery. 614 471-4623 and ask for DJ. He is very helpful.

Hi Scott,
I looked through Lockbourne Cemetery today & couldn't find any stone forJesse Reall. I really think this cemetery is too old to him have there. These are definitely canal-era graves. I did find this Jesse E. Reall ( 113442122 ) just down the road at Fernwood Ceemetery in Lockbourne. Hopefully this is a match!
