Memorial # 71590687

I fulfilled your photo request and noticed the date of death on the tombstone did not agree with that in the Find A Grave memorial. So I looked on for death records. The NC record has DOB 5 Feb 1907 while the US Soc Scty Death Index has DOB 5 Feb 1906. Both show DOD 15 Jun 1989. Anyway, hope the photos meet your expectations.

did you try the shaving cream trick? if not,
buy some cheap shaving cream and a straight edge scraper. spray the cream on headstone, scrape off with the scraper. Will leave the cream in the crack of letters.

Thank you for the update. I have edited the bio for Edna Lewis to reflect the new info and created a link to her second husband, Hafford E. Lewis, who is also buried in Maple Grove Cemetery. Thanks again.

Walter Edgar Poe
Walter Edgar Poe is my husband's Great Grandfather via his son Eugene Berians Poe. The links on this page list two siblings for Eugene: Clarence Dwight Poe and an infant Thomas Lynn Poe, that were born after the death date listed for Lenora Jane Bright Poe. Did Edgar marry after her death and father these two children?

I'm happy to share what information I have, but it's not much on this side. Thank you.

Womack family
My grandmother was a Womack. Her family came from NC I think around Carthage . Southern Pines area.

She lived in Cheraw and her name was Bessie Womack Bottoms. Was wondering what info you had on the Womacks. Ann Jones Jackson

Walter Edgar Poe
Thank you so much for posting the headstone for my Great Uncle Walter Edgar Poe. That allowed correction of his year of death. I'd never realized that he was buried in South Carolina, since most of his near relatives spent their lives in Chatham County, NC (where he was born).

RE: Perry's gravemarkers
I think you were lucky we went before the bushes and trees leaved completely. The wife's headstone was completely surrounded by a small bush, that was pulled back in the picture to allow a clear view. Probably the person who did not find it on an earlier search did not see it because of the bush. Glad to help out.

Buchanan monument photos
I am so happy to advise you that Find-A-Grave has finally corrected their server issues and that James' & Penne's photographs have been attached. Their monument has engraving on both sides so I have added photos of both sides to both memorials. In addition, I have sent a second email to the crator of thhse memorials and requested that the spellin of Penne's surname be corrected on the memorial and to also lonk both memorials together so that the spouses' name andmemorial # appears on the prospective memorial. (It seems that some people do not now how to make these changes happen, so I sent specifics for the correction and link addition.

If you would like to have the original photos before they were downsized to meet Find-A-Grave's file size requirements, send me an email direct.

Kindest regards,

T.C. Burns

Buchanan photos
I am still trying to up-load the Buchanan monument photos without success. I am still getting error messages from Find-A-Grave indicating that hey are having an internal servor problem. I also checked their on-line message boards and there are a lot of members that are experiencing the same issue and it appears that the problem has been happening for the past few days.

Thus, today, I found the name of the website owner andcalled him in Salt Lake City Utah.
Noboby answered the home phone but I did leave a voice mail message concerning the server problem.

If the issue is not resolved by this evening, I will call the owner back, again.

Kindest regards,

T.C. Burns

Buchanan memorial photos
I have photographed the monument for Pennie & James H. Buchanan. I have been attempting to load them onto each memorial. Unfortunately, at this moment, there is a problem with Find-A-Grave's website ad thus I will have to try again later. Hopefully by this evening, I can report success. In the meantime, I also have sent an email to the person that has control of Pennie's memorial and requested that the spellin of her last name be corrected and to also link Pennie's memorial to James' memorial.

I will keep you updated on my requests and also when I have successfully attached the photographs to both memorials.

Kindest regards,

T. C. Burns
