John Kemnitzer--Cedar Hill
Hello Tundra Girl, I am sorry to say that John Kemnitzer does not have a marker. I checked with the office and he is buried next to Bertha in Sec 10. I know that Shirley has been working on this and I have spoken with her.

Re: Bertha Kemnitzer
Sorry, hit the wrong key before. I posted a photo of her grave marker and Harold C. was buried next to her and I posted his headstone photo. I am thinking he was her son judging by the dates. John is supposed to be in that same lot but I found no grave marker for him. I will check the cemetery interment records at the office and will let you know what I find

Margaret Catherine Bolton
Awhile back you wanted me to make some changes to the memorial for Margaret Catherine Bolton or tranfer her to you. I don't remember if I ever answered you since I found the request with a note I made to check her death cert. If I didn't answer I am sorry. It came at a time when I was contemplating surgery. I'm sorry, I can't transfer any of the Boltons right now since they are related to my children thru my 1st husband. Floyd is not the father. Edna's ist husband Arch Bolton is. Archie Bolton married Norma Edna Bowen in 1919 (they had 3 children including Margaret Catherine b & d in 1924) Arch died in 1926 When Arch died Edna married Arch's 1/2 brother Floyd C. Bolton also in 1926 Floyd & Edna had 7 known children. Margaret's death cert. # 30049 says she died May 8, 1924 age 1m 16d and was born March 22, 1924 (b & d in Columbia Twp., Meigs Co., Ohio). I hope this helps and I'm sorry to be so late.

RE: James Bartoe
You are so very welcome. There was another Bartoe beside James but I did not see her info on Find A Grave. Nora E. B.sept 18, 1875
d. dec 17, 1951. Wasn't sure if this would help you but I thought I'd pass it along anyway.

Good luck, @ngel

RE: Louvina Ansel
You are welcome, glad it helped. I also found several of my husbands ancestors in this cemetery while looking for her stone, so it worked out for both of us!

RE: Photos of Headstones at Hamden Cemetery...continued

These photos were a blast to go out and get today! So glad you got them! I know you have some more on the lists, and I've got the info on them written down. My dad and I took a few hours today and walked the entire cemetery, and these were the ones we could find between us, and I'm planning on going back tomorrow or next Wednesday (my day off from work) to attempt a few more. There's a few still outstanding that I remember now walking by.

Getting all of the photos we got today was worth the sunburn I have now... Gorgeous cemetery, even when it's raining, then sun-shining and humid. Totally worth it.

You're welcome. I was down that way for others in that cemetery and decided I'd take the list of requests and try to get some if I could. Glad I could help your journey.

RE: Bertha Arnold
Tundra Girl,

The three stones are in such BAD shape, that I had to spend extra special time using my finger to touch the indentations on the stone. Only then was I able to write them down and later when I searched online, I found that John had transcribed them 3 years earlier. So we both came to the same conclusion, and presumably the stones were easier to read 3 years ago.

How did I find them? Well, the cemetery has about 4,000 graves, unfortunately about 600 of them were never photographed for some reason or another - not a section, but spotty stuff all over. SO, I am rewalking the entire cemetery, one section and grave at a time. I check each to see if it was captured previously, and if not, I photograph and upload it as time allows.

:-) PS, unfortunately, the only way to get a better picture would be to do a rubbing. These three stones are in the open and heavy exposed to sun light.

You're welcome. I always hate to send a note but I know how easy it is to make duplicates. I ahve had to remove everal that I accidentally duplicated. I only found it because I'm remotely related to Lorenzo and wife. Keep up your good work.

...If you click on the picture, some of the inscription is visible. The sun had hit the marker in a certain way; allowing me to decipher the date, year, and the last name. A pleasant challenge to say the least. Your welcome. Glad I could help :)

Henry Arnold memorial
It wasn't until the sun hit it a certain way that I was barely able to read the inscription of the marker you (and I) had wondered about. The marker pic is posted to the memorial. Glad I was able to help.

RE: Eva & Birdie Flowers
Yes, they are on the same stone. Eva's is on the "west" side and Birdie's on the "south" side. The other two sides have no inscriptions on them.

Hi Tundra Girl:
Right now I can not walk Greenlawn Cemetery and my greenlawn book does not show Adda in there but I grown to find out that sometimes this book is wrong. If you notice, I did find her Death Certificate and posted it on there for ya.

You're welcome for the pics. I have one that I couldn't get uploaded of his stone, the back epitaph. If you'd like, I can email it to you, so you can see it. The rain kinda hindered reading it today, but I'm planning on going back and getting a few other requests, and can get some clearer shots. I had a blast hunting for these pics, hope to help you again soon!

Arnold Photo requests
... being as familiar as I am with the Arnold plot in Greenwood Cemetary, I am aware that some of the printing on these markers have been washed away by the elements. I will do my best to capture the requests you have presented. Merry Christmas !!

RE: Elizabeth Dempsey, Samuel Dempsey and Robert Elder
I documented all the stages of restoration I did on each tombstone in the cemetery. I plotted and measured the cemetery to have the condition it is in for future generations. I wanted to document each tombstone so it will always be recorded before the are eroded away or vandalized again.
