Hi , this headstone marks a grave a couple down from my ancestor's unmarked grave. There is a picture attached at the John Goodwin listing. The marker is in Italian. I hope this can help someone.

Joseph Calamari
I believe he is my great grandfather. He was a captain in the Italian Army and I have a photo of him in his uniform. He married Maria and they had 3 children, Katharine, Frank and Margaret. Margaret was my grandmother and was born after he died. I would love to see what other info you have on them. Unfortunately I am at work and do not have my info with me.

I was trying to find out what he died from at such a young age.
Thanks for info
Bonnie Mahmood

Your request
I went to St. John's today to look for Maria and Richard Daly. There grave is already posted here:

There are no names on the stone except for Nellie. I went to the office and they copied the gave me the (plot plan) for the site. I can mail or email it to you. Those buried here include Nellie Doran, Thomas Daly (d. 1920), Mrs. Thomas Daly (1938), Miss Anna Doran (1917), Richard Daly (1949), Marie Daly (79) and Ruth Daly (88).

You had taken a grave marker for me in the past. I now need that same photo on other memorials. Do you want to do it or should I and give you credit? Gail

I have a photo with Pamplones, Bartolas, and Cena Calamari. Is she a relative of yours? Jennie Buzzi was Romeo Pamplone's mother.

Cotters - Sacret Heart Cemetery - Ironton, OH
Hello there.

I was looking at your photo requests for Sarah & George Cotter.

I have most of the photos for the cemetery and there is a monument with Msgr Cotter there.
One one side of the momunment it says KING and the other COTTER.

William A King is on the KING side with dates.

On the COTTER side, it has the dates a little different, but it appears these may be the ones you seek.

MOTHER: 1833-1896
FATHER: 1828-1896

I am related to the other King's in the cemetery and always wondered who William was and if he was related.

in Holy Cross Cemetery; Brooklyn, kings, NY. I had to put her grave in a flower message because is would not accept what I entered for the plot: for Julia, mother of Thomas B. Black; buried in section Saint James, Range N, grave 71.

I sincerely apologize for making the mistake of requesting photos without the proper burial information. I did not mean to be thoughtless and I really do appreciate the time and self-sacrafice you contribute to taking the photos.

I am very new to the process and this was a learning curve for me. I will make sure to get the information before submitting requests in the future.

Thank you for your patience and for letting me know the proper procedure to follow in the future.

Show Biz Connections of Calamari Family
Hello!! So glad to see these photos!! A friend and I are doing research on the Ritz Brothers comedy team and are trying to locate members of the Calamari family and its extended branches who may be able to help us. Mary Buzzi Calamari's daughter, Antoinette (Annette), was the wife of Al Ritz (born Al Joachim), the oldest of the Ritz Bros. Also, Mary's daughter/Annette's sister, Lillian, was the wife of a famous musician/composer named Al Vann (sometimes cited as Al La Vine or Al Lavine). We are quite interested in finding any family members who may have recollections of Al Vann or Al Ritz or any of the Ritz Brothers. Anyone with tips or leads or stories to share may contact me, Amy Ross, at, or Jeff Abraham, at CalamariGirl, would especially love to hear from you!! Thanks--Amy

Peter & Margaret Walsh
Thank you very much for photographing the grave of Peter and Margaret Walsh at Holy Cross Cemetery and for taking the extra step of verifying the information at the office. You have answered one set of questions and opened another. I am deeply appreciative.

THANK YOU so very much for the photo of my Aunt Helen's final resting place! Is it just me, or does it look like the headstone is not lined up properly with the base? Very strange.
As a fellow Photo Volunteer, I truly appreciate the time & effort you took in fufilling my request so quickly.
God Bless.

Are you related to the DiPrato? We lost another one, Peter DiPrato last month. I see you have several on your contributor list with the same surname. Jim
