Could you tell me what your sources are for this information? I want to be sure Prudence is indeed the second wife of Tavner Marsh. Do you have more information on Alfred H. Marsh, Tavner's son?

I added photos of the headstones for this Cemetery. Thanks for your contribution to this site. Also the Cemetery is in Hamilton, Harris County, GA. Not Mountain Hill, Harris, GA. I'll research to see how to change city. DAREN

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I messaged the person who supplied the photo, but haven't heard anything of yet.
This is a very small cemetery, so there is no chance we missed it.
If you find out anything else in regard to this issue, please contact me.
Again, thank you for all your work.

Hello Kermit, I traveled from Atlanta to find the grave of my g,g,g,grandmother this weekend at the Nelson Family Cemetery in Harris Co. Ga. After traveling down a long dirt road we found the fenced cemetery but could not find this headstone as pictured on the findagrave website. I am wondering if you have anyway of finding out where this photo was taken.
Thank you for all your hard work.

Thanks for the reply, and thanks for the pic. Like you I don't know much about them. I do not have any photos of them. Uncle Oris came to visit us in Ga a couple of times when I was young. He was a short heavy set balding man. He was a very nice person. They did not have any children so I don't know what would have happened to their belongings.
It's funny that we wait until people are no longer around to want to know more about them.
Thanks again for your reply. Have a great year!

I am a niece of Oris Player and was wondering if you are related to them. We called his wife Aunt Red and I did not know her very well. If you are related to them do you know of any family photos they might have had. I would love to hear from you if possible. Thank you.

I just placed the other Harris photos I made while fulfilling your original request. When the weather improves (has been raining for DAYS!) I'll get more. I have not seen Basses at Bethany, but there is a Bass family cemetery on Rte. 27 close to Pine Mtn. It is enclosed by a locked fence. I have spoken with family members there when they were there tending to the property. I was particularly interested in speaking with them as my maiden name is Bass. No relationship there as none of my family came into this area.

Glad I could help. There were other Harrises
there. Are you interested in them as well?

I just claimed your photo request for Alvin Myhand. After seeing that a problem was reported for your initial request, I ran a few searches. Alvin's full name appears to be "Gus[tavus] Alvin Myhand". In an early transcription of the cemetery, a footstone bearing the letters "G.A.M." was noted. This might be your guy. Heading up there in a few minutes... will let you know.

Thanks I made the changes. I noticed her husband was not listed but I believe her father in law was. Thanks

|Mary Jane Hobbs Pattillo||George Bowman Wright|
Thank you for all your hard work on the Wright Family Cemetery. I wish I did know where George Bowman Wright is buried but I do not. I believe he died in Meriwether Co., Georgia. Abraham and George Washington Wright Sr. are buried at the Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Meriwether Co., Georgia. My understanding is that the Wright family gave the land for the church and cemetery. There are some unmarked graves there.
Absalom Wright died in Elmore Co., Alabama. Burial location not known. His daughter Editha Wright Powell is buried at the Chana Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Elmore Co., Alabama.
John Wright is buried in Ebenezer Cemetery, Chalybeate Springs, Meriwether Co., Georgia.
Yes, you are correct. My ancestry is as follows:
George and Editha Shirley Wright
Abraham and Anna Burtz Wright
George Washington and Eliza Jane Gresham Wright
George Washington Wright Jr. and Theodosia Caladona "Donie" Peed Wright
Margaret Edna "Maggie" Wright Hobbs and Cicero Cyril Hobbs
Percy Cullins Hobbs and Mary Elizabeth McDermott Hobbs

I have claimed your photo request for the grave of Sarah Whitaker in Franklinton City Cemetery. I have a question first though. There are two city cemeteries in Franklinton - Fair View Cemetery and Evergreen Cemetery. Do you happen to know if she is buried in Fair View or Evergreen? If not, that's fine, I can find out. I just wanted to check first.
