|art davis||RE: Brownlow Cemetery|
The cemetery is a little difficult to find. You have to take gravel roads to get there. It stands on a hill above a creek. An ancient spruce tree greets you at the entrance. The cemetery is well maintained. It is peaceful, a nice resting place.
Those interred at Brownlow are among the original settlers of eastern Butler County. Brownlow itself, I am guessing, was a town that never quite made it.

Hi Elizabeth. I added the information pertaining to Mrs. Applegate's DAR membership. Do you know how she was a DAR member, e.g., was it through her paternal or her maternal lineage?

|Matthew Trynoski||Photo Request greenwood cem|
Hi Elizabeth, I received a request for taking a photo at Greenwood cemetery. I will be happy to fulfill this request, however due to the heavy snow that we have experienced this winter I may have to delay until a thaw. I may have trouble locating grave and getting a good picture. If someone else gets to it first, great. I will keep it on my list and hope for spring time weather soon.

|Gordon Hungerford||Byerly Decendants|
I just discovered the Find a Grave site upon renewal of a search for my great grandparents. I do not know the first name of my Stephenson great grand father who, by aural family history, married an Orrie Byerly and lived in Butler County, Kansas. Thanks to your work I have potentially broken through a 10 year barrier in my family search efforts. Your reference to Isabella Byerly as a GG GM suggested to me that we may be related. If interested I may be contacted directly: firstname.lastname@example.org

I noticed on a photo request a comment that you had left that you possibly have a book with the plot locations for the Bushnell Cemetery. Do you have a digital copy of that or do you know how I might obtain one? - Lance

Thank you SO much for looking for me. I will check the other cemetery and see if they are there!!

I see that you've taken some photos at the Bushnell Cemetery and that you have a book about the cemetery. I was hoping you could tell me if John Ringer (d. 1881) and his wife Mary Hendrix Ringer (d. 1910) are buried there? I have a photo from 1959 and it says they are buried in "cemetery south of Bushnell Illinois, in the north west corner" . I hate to put a photo request in if it's not the right cemetery. Thank you for your help - Stacey

I've created memorial pages of more
"Cooks" from Warren Co. cemetery. If S. Clay had other family members then maybe this will help.
Have a great memorial day week-end,

I missed their marker on the first pass through the cemetery & went into the office & asked where they were buried. I wasn't going to leave until I found them for you. They were near the entrance to the cemetery beside a tree.

You are welcome! Yes Linda's father Milford Vance was two graves down from hers. I set up a memorial and transferred it to you. That was the only one. I hope this helps.

|Kim D. Garrison||RE: Jacob & Isabella Byerly|
I've posted all the pictures of all the gravestones I could find in the Byerly cemetery. Some stones were face down and too heavy or damaged to move. Good luck in finding Bessie.

Thanks for sharing your relationship to the request. I enjoy knowing how the requests tie back to the requester.
That stone was awfully shiny. . .difficult to get a nice picture the way the sun reflected.
Happy Spring! (really hope it doesn't snow here this weekend)

|Michael DeLost||RE: Rose Sloan Photo Request|
Elizabeth, I did not know any of Rose's family. Rose had moved to Canton and was working at the Norris Mine. I worked for Peabody at another mine. She was living 2 blocks up the street from me and we had become quick friends. I still remember the sadness I felt when she was tragically killed. Her little car was hit by a school bus and the bus driver thrown from his seat. The bus continued to push Rose and her car for about half a block or more. She was such a beautiful person both inside and out. Thanks again for your kindness. Your picture has brought fond memories of Rose once again. Mike

Hi Liz, hows it going?
Thanks for the message. It's sure a lot easier going out to fill the requests when you know it's appreciated.
Do you know if Charles had other family members near him, I made memorials out for them if you're interested. Will also transfer if you like, if so just let me know.
