RE: Andrew J. Ownby
Cemetery records show no headstone for Sarah yet there was one, I added it 93267689. They said their was one for Andrew but no. Also I put in to change her name it is Ownbey on her stone. She is next to Andrew who I also think has the same last name (sp wrong) I will check next time I go back to the cemetery. Are they husband and wife?

Buckhorn Cemetery, Buckhorn, Ky.
If you created the Buckhorn Cemetery, could you add this to the description on the cemetery page? Someone has duplicated this cemetery under the name of the Government Cemetery which is what some call the Cemetery. I have asked Find A Grave to merge the two. Thank you

Before Buckhorn Lake State Park was created, there was a small community there called Bowlingtown. The town was established by Rev. Jesse Bowling and his wife, Mary Pennington; Rev. Duff and 50 other families. In 1960 with the building of the Buckhorn Lake, the town was abandoned and the families living there were relocated. The family graves in the area of 873 people were re-interred to the Buckhorn Cemetery. Some people call this the GOVERNMENT CEMETERY. This cemetery is located across from Buckhorn Lodge on top of a hill.

RE: Clyde R Hosse
Emma Sue thanks so much for your kind reply. I have been reading on some forums that there are many contributors who do not wish to share! That is difficult for me to understand and it is through sharing that we are able to glean information. I know nothing about what it might mean to be an administrator of a particular memorial. I would consider it but also depends on what it involves. I'd love to give back but must also consider some family issues that I am dealing with that is time consuming. I would consider this!!

RE: John Ownby
You are welcome. If memory serves me, he lived at one time over in Porters Flats right by Long Branch in Greenbrier. As I recall there was not much left of the home place though.
