RE: Mary Goodson
I think I will be able to link her to her family. Just talked to one of her great neices. Anytime you see me enter a dup, let me know. I appreciate you.

I knew Deb had entered this memorial. Ms Goodson is from my home county and I was trying to locate her parents for Deb. The phone rang and I was sidetracked. Deleting it know and thanks for the reminder.

Alvin Harrison
I finally linked Helen Davis Harrison to her son, Alvin at MT. Hope in Wells. Is this your family? If so, I will transfer him to you. He is not of my family, I found this record while researching for a book on my family cemetery, Crawford, in Angelina County. Interested in your Hawthrone connections as my Renfro line married into that family.
Della Woods,

Donna, I'm happy to help out wherever I can. Your cemetery is wonderful & the wind seems to always be blowing! I took about 120 photos last Friday & still have a few left to download.

RE: Carl Adkenson
That's the new Find A Grave edit system. Its suppose to expedite/speed up the edits so that those who procrastinate saying its time consuming, can't complain anymore. Or for those who say they didn't get the SAC's, well they can't say that now cause there's proof. It cuts down on the Administration work by Find A Grave staff as well. Some aspects of it I like, some I don't. Just have to get use to it I guess. Its been in affect for a while now.

Donna have you checked your "edit" tab recently for suggested corrections/additions?

Thanks for letting me know that he is still alive. I have indicated on the entry that it is a "pre-need" headstone.

Hi Donna,
Jim and Florence (Holsomback)Choate were my parents. Jimmy Choate was by brother. George and Debbie Holsomback were my grandparents. I wanted to thank you for the pictures of my parents and brothers headstones. I live in Wyoming now, but its nice to visit via the internet and pay my respect. I am also looking for any information or pictures about my grandparents. I am new to this, so any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Doris Choate Robinson

RE: Kinchen Page
My grandmother led me to this cemetery in about 1975. It was overgrown at that time (a lost cemetery). Kinchen was my 2nd great grandfather. My relation is through his son William Randolph, and his granddaughter Jesse Page Ross. Martha Caroline must be your relation to Kinchen. My grand aunt left me her collection of letters and pictures related to Martha Caroline's three families.

Thank you for your interest, James R Lawrence

RE: Bailey
As it turns out, the county line may divide the town and/or the cemetery. I have emailed the genealogy room in Yoakum asking for help to clarify this. Hopefully they will reply.

I just hate when a cemetery is claimed by two counties! It creates such a mess to try to sort out!

Added by Deb on Nov 16, 2013 3:04 AM

RE: Bailey
Donna, as I said in other msg - those aren't his parents BUT now I'm off trying to figure out the cemetery issue. There are 2 Hebron Cemetery names, and 2 places called Yoakum. One in Lavaca Co, and one in DeWitt Co. The counties are adjoining. Someone else has the parents of William Perry Bailey (Oliver & Julia) in the OTHER county and OTHER cemetery. They have the father in Bailey Cemetery in Lavaca Co but mother in the Hebron Cemetery in DeWitt Co .

I have sent a msg to other contributor and asked IF he knows the difference.

It is SO confusing! Or it could be because its 3AM and I'm still up doing this, hah!

RE: Bailey
Per his memorial, and per birth record, he was the s/o Henry Bailey & Bessie Helen Owsby ... so no, he's not the s/o the man with same name nor brother of Julia.

1930 census shows the family you want ... before William & Katie divorced.

Julia had 3 brothers: Oliver, Melvin, and George. Of course she "might" have had half-siblings later on but we'd need to find her father in 1940 census to see if he remarried as did her mother, who can be found in 1940 already married to the Clanton man.

I'll see what I can do - might be tomorrow though. Can't promise anything but I'll check.

RE: Bailey
Look at Julia's pg now. I have her linked to parents.

Added by Deb on Nov 15, 2013 11:17 PM

Donna, found someone I "think" is her father. He has no pg. His DC says he was divorced so I don't know about Julia's mother yet. I'm "assuming" this is her father because of name, location, and the fact that his mother was named Julia on his DC. All seems to fit and I have a "gut feeling" about it so I'm going to run with it.

Added by Deb on Nov 15, 2013 10:26 PM

Thank you Donna for the additional info. I will also look for the parents of Julia Bailey Vann.
