RE: Tucker farm
:-) hoping to go tomorrow. Saw some of it today my self at my nieces soccer game at Lance Cruise North High School. Blue Angels are so cool !!!

Ancestry is who you went through, I was thinking of using them as well. Good to know you were happy with them.

RE: Stone
Hi Tom- I'm there Monday mornings.

When the library is open on Sunday, I'm there from 1-5, but they aren't open on Sunday again until September.

RE: Stone
Hi Tom--

I finished the Clinton Grove update in December, it should show up on the library shelf in another month or so.

Then I proofread a book of funeral home records and a few other small things.

My main project now is a compilation of records from Trinity German Lutheran Cemetery on Elmwood Avenue in Detroit--about 15,000 records from 8 or 9 different sources. Everything is in the spreadsheet and now I'm weeding out the duplicates and highly questionable records. Eventually it will also be on the library shelf.

I took a brief photo shop class; it was a landslide of information, most of which was way over my head.

And I volunteer at the Mount Clemens Library in the genealogy room twice a week.

Other than that, I bake a little.

How are you?

RE: Bolensen stone
Hi Tom.

So it was you! Yes, all 10 of the stones are in one lot (probably lot 10) in Section C, there's a large Bollenson marker facing West and the stones face East. The stones are upright, small and hard to read because of age and lots of lichen growth.

RE: Ortenzio Nenni
Not my grandfather but related to my husband's grandfather. Albert was a 2nd cousin to Corrado, my husband's grandfather. I didn't realize Albert was from the Detroit area. My husband's family lived in Royal Oak and they are all in Mt. Olivet also. That's so interesting that you knew him and then made the connection here. It is a small world.

Tucker
I noticed a couple by the name of Tucker in your care I was wondering if they were related to a few I knew back in the 60's who lived on Donaldson Street the street after Deanhurst which was the start of Mount Clemens Michigan, we lived next door to.

Hebert
Hi friend , that was so cool of what you wrote on your profile page , something different than the regular stuff I think I understood it all .
Are you sure you werent a teacher?
Anyway I transfered Mr Hebert 's interment over to you .
If he is not a relative that is ok at least he is in the section his parents are .
Keep up the good work and good luck finding your Ancestors for their section to be with you .

RE: My number
I'm adding military inscriptions to memorials I add, and looking through the surnames at the same time, then sending SAC's asking the memorial managers to add the inscription. Not a perfect system but many more will be findable if the veterans groups do a computer search for them next year.

Or maybe they just need volunteers to help place flags on Memorial Day....

RE: My number
Hi Tom-

I'm good. I hope to be finished with the Clinton Grove project by the end of the year.

I didn't include William L McCormick because he died before the cut-off date of the project, which is 1975 (with a few exceptions). Please add the military transcription to his memorial. I'm told that the local veteran groups search for all of the veterans so they can honor them on Memorial Day. No idea how they do it.

All of the McCormicks are in Section D Lot 36, that is Pauline, William, Irma and Lewis. Also Hannah and Lizzie are listed but the old book doesn't include any dates for them. The old book includes all burials in the records up to about 1977. I have a borrowed photocopy at home and there's a copy (in 5 volumes) at the library.

Happy Hunting.

RE: Meeting
Hey, you too. By the time I got to photographing the section I'm working on it got hot, there were snags (really messy graves) and visitors descend upon the section. O is a long section but I only got half of a row done before I threw in the towel. Tomorrow is another day.

RE: Question
I don't actually remember how his name was spelled, he was old and I was a little kid. Seems like spelling of surnames gets pretty random as you go back in time. You wouldn't believe how many ways Campbell is spelled in old records. I also have in-laws who are brothers and each spells their surname a different way.

And don't get me started on Goodenow.

RE: Question
Sorry, but no to both. I just remembered a Mr. LaFaive (no idea what his first name was) who was an architect or maybe a builder. He drew up the plans for the baptist church my parents attended in Royal Oak in the 1960's. Yours?

RE: Question
Yes, I'm the one. Do you mean there's more than one Gail Campbell Schulte on Find A Grave? Maybe I signed up more than once, if that's possible. It was nice chatting with you at Clinton Grove. I didn't get a lot more done after we spoke, it was a day for people stopping to chat, and there were 2 more after you. I have met the nicest people in cemeteries. Who'd a thought.

Ullrich Family
Thank you so much for your work on this site. I noted that my great-great grandfather, Reuben Charles Ullrich, has two entries (with different information). I see that with one entry, the poster no longer plans to continue to update. So, I thought I would ask you if you would be interested or willing to merge record numbers 42766951 and 46094688?

With my best to you! Hope you keep biking! Recently, I have taken up running and truly enjoy the cemetary runs!

God bless,

Lisa
