George Fiebing
Hi,

I finally found your memorial for George Fiebing.

I see that "George" is on the stone, not his given name, which is why I entered it as George Fiebing. According to F.A.G. guidelines, names should be entered as they appear on the stone.

A note could be added to the bio section. He is on the Minnesota Historical Society death index as George.

As is, someone else may canvas the cemetery and enter the name again, not realizing his first name is entered different on another memorial.

I just emailed you her grave photo. The email is coming from peachyswan at yahoo in case it ends up in your junk mail folder, something that happens.

Hope you can use it!

Sarah Palmer
I did find a Sarah C. Palmer but her birthdate is much later than what you wanted (1880s)... but can't find the one that was born in 1849.

Sarah Palmer
I went to Bethel Cemetery today to try to find Sarah and Nevada. I could not find them. However, there was an enclosed square plot with several unmarked graves. One was quite worn but it says Sarah G. Palmer, born April ?, 1884. The death date is under the soil. I saw on Thomas' memorial that he had a daughter named Sarah who was born that year so it is probably her. The only other readable grave is enmeshed in a bush and I could not see the front of it. But I don't think it was the older Sarah you were looking for.

I took a picture of Sarah G's grave if you would like me to send it to you,

Holly, I have a few additional pictures if you would like them of the O'Neal plot. There was also a Charles O'Neal born 1886 died 1924 who was next to Alice O'Neal. Not sure what the relationship was and am assuming family. I have a picture of that stone as well. If you would like the pictures please let me know and I will email them to you.

I found a "Mother" stone in the Herron plot. The death year matches but birth is off by 2 years.

This stone shares a plot with Florence and Harvey Herron.

Margaret Gibby
Hi Holley, I was unable to fulfill your photo request for Ms. Gibby. She is not listed in the registry at the cemetery. I did take a picture of the registry which lists the other Gibbys and if you want that, please let me know and I'll email it to you. Additionally, the plot listed on her memorial (UK-90) does not fit the system at South Morgan. I am sorry I didn't have better luck, please let me know if you find any new information on where she might be buried at South Morgan Cemetery. I'll leave it to you to take down the photo request.
Thanks,
RJ

Henry Strong
Holly,
I talked to someone here in Alpine about Henry and part of the problem is that there was a fire long time ago and wiped out most of the headstones and for a period of time the recorder did a poor job with keeping track of bodies. I do have someone finding a book called "Builder of Alpine". She thinks there might be some info in there. If Henry has a second name than I think I found him but there is no headstone.
Wish I had more for you.

Holly,
I'm not finding Henry Strong in the cemetery. There is a Enoch Henry Strong but there is no head stone and no info on the board at the cemetery. So I don't know if that is the correct Henry. There is some one that I can call that knows a lot about the cemetery but that will have to be next week.

Joy Walker - Green Hills
Hi Holly. I went back today and asked at the office about Joy's marker and they confirmed that her family did not order a marker. I fulfilled your request with a photo of the area, and the grave is located in the exact center of the photo.

Sorry this was not a more positive outcome.

Best Regards,
Bonnie

Hi Holly: I'll try to get you a better photo. At present, no other volunteer would know where this grave is in the 100 acres of this cemetery and the office refuses to give volunteers information as to locations. I still remember where it is because I started taking photos of a whole section of this cemetery because of their policy. The stone is extremely weather worn, and even when I wiped it with water, the carving was faint. I will take closeups of each side of the stone this time. Probably will get there by next week. Chris
