Photo Request
I notice that you have a photo request for the grave of Margaret Pardee in Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor, New York. I live right next to the cemetery and go walking there a few times a week. I'd be happy to take a picture of your loved one's grave, but since it's quite a large cemetery, it would be helpful if you could find out the section and lot. You can reach the Woodlawn Cemetery office at 845-561-1249. If you can give me that info, I should have the picture up within a few weeks.
Thanks!

Hello! I saw a couple of your responses when I was looking through the Willsea records on Find A Grave (and thank you for adding so much!), and it turns out that we are cousins as well! I'm descended from The First Daniel Willsea through his daughter Sarah Willsea (Wiltsee) Travis, my 6th great grandmother. How fun is it to find these things after years of casting around? I've come upon three new distant cousins in as many days, so I have lots of information to explore. Please contact me if you'd like to compare/contrast, or just say hi. Charie

RE: Rebecca Brown Willsea
Hi, I just posted a new pictures of Rebecca and also her son Daniel. We repaired and reset Rebecca and found most of the pieces of Daniel who is now lying in the back of the cemetery. The repair was done by Grave Stone Matters in Housick Falls, NY with me assisting. It was very satisfying to see Rebecca put back. There are no plans to restore her son Daniel, but husband Daniel was put back as well, after being removed by the tree cutters last year. If someone comes forward that wants to pay for poor Daniel's repair I think the town will do it, but for now he remains in pieces and I'm still looking for the missing bits.

The picture of the headstone you have posted for Anthony Shaw is not actually his grave site. It was told that his headstone (the one you have posted) was removed from his gravesite and placed beside Dinah's by one of their sons. I found documentation through the historical society of his true burial spot. I have a memorial posted for him showing the military memorial plaque that was placed there for him. Is there some way we can combine our memorials since he is not truly buried there? Thank you.

RE: Rebecca Brown Willsea
Hi,

Keep a look out for a Rebecca update. The bottom of her stone, that I thought belonged to her son Jacob, is actually hers. I have another picture that I'll post in the next few weeks.

She is also slated for repair and reinstallation. I was co-chair of the cemetery project and if the villiage decides to pay for it, Daniel and Rebecca will both be reinstalled in the next few months.

Do you have an ancestry.com account?

Thanks.

Dinah & Uriah Goodrich
Thank you so much for taking the time to post the pictures of Dinah & Uriah Goodrich's headstones. I was afraid they did not exist. I have a question about the stone to the right of Dinah's headstone. In the picture, I can see another stone and can see the name Anthony on it. Did you happen to get a picture of that stone. I read in a historical article that one of Anthony & Dinah's sons took his fathers headstone & traveled to Dinah's grave & placed it beside hers. Maybe that family story is true! I would love to see a full picture of that stone if at all possible. Please let me know. Again, thank you so much & may God bless you for your generosity. Sincerely, Tammie

James Pardee/Levant Cemetery
Hi, I have a photo for James and I think it must be him, but on the birth year on the headstone is 1816 instead of 1813.
I have also added memorials for a Jay W, Phebe L, Andrew J and Samuel A Pardee to the cemetery. If you want photos for them please put in requests for the ones you want and I will be happy to add them for you. Also, I will be happy to transfer them over to you if you want me to.
Sincerely, Ron Kinney

Ario Pardee
Hello,

I am uploading the pictures you requested for Ario Pardee in Highland Park Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan. While there I also got pictures of his wife's stone (Eliza Platt Pardee) and their daughter, Sarah M. Pardee. I will upload these as well.

The Pardees are buried with many other Platts and Posts (and some Stewarts as well). I will upload those photos, too, including one for Mary Ann Pardee Post.

Hope this helps.

I wanted to know what it means when you say not to show any cemetery photos on this memorial. Does that mean that no pics of a monument?

RE: Hannah Gage Pardee
No problem, but as the caption of the picture shows, I didn't take the picture. The cemetery is on private land so you can't get to it to photograph. I contacted the owner of another website and got permission to post the photo he had taken a number of years ago to fill your request. When he took it, the owner had to clear the way with a tractor and still the photographer almost got injured on the trek.
