You're welcome. Most of them already had photos and there was at least one that I couldn't find.

|Darlene||RE: Mary Baker|
Barbara, thank you for all the new info. I have a couple of things: Mary's birth date and death date are 1 year different from her stone...do you have proof of these? If not, I will just add a note to show a difference. Also, what is your husband's name and how does he fit in with the Bakers? Especially with the Cora Baker family?
Thank you so much again! What a Mother's Day gift! :-)

I only went by the tombstone when I entered the name of Vora Baker on Find A Grave. I remember Cora but did not know her husband..........Her son, Woodrow, was my neighbor for many years and his wife still lives beside me.

|William Townsend||RE: Robert N. Newcomb|
Barbara, I am Shirley Townsend, my husband is William (Bill). We had to use his name as contributor to Find A Grave because the Find A Grave computer would not understand that two people can use one URL address. It is a long story.
About the Newcomb family, I am not related at all. I am doing a family history as an interested person, having mutual family connections, to a grand daughter of Robert Newcomb. Through my research I can sometimes contribute some factual connections and dates etc to help define certain people in the Newcomb and related families. I have created Find A Grave#141242031 and Find A Grave #129178786 Mother and son, under creator William Townsend, if any of the family wanted to manage these Memorials I would be pleased to turn them over.
I have seen a number of your FAGs in Kern County, cemeteries, are you related to the Newcombs? Robert Newcomb had a daughter Barbara.
Thank you for accepting my suggestions for Robert Newcomb. Shirley

Hello Barbara, if you don't mind, would you please transfer the memorials for John and Jacobina Ruettgers to my care? They are aunt and uncle to my grandfather. Thank you for your work and consideration, Matt Aumen (#48411830)

This is to request transfer of the subject memorial. George was a son of my great-grandfather (great-uncle?) who married Adelia L Crumley in 1881. Adelia was linked to George's memorial today following transfer of her memorial to me. -- Thanks, and best wishes to you and yours, Gale Davis

I suppose I thought "Her ashes will be buried in the Bakersfield Cemetery in Bakersfield, Calif." meant she was buried at Union. I will change her burial to unknown. Thanks for your help!

|Eve Miller||RE: Re: Browne in your family|
I have to look at the Browne's again, all I know is there was a misspelling when they came to America that whoever kept spelling it kept leaving off the e, so that they eventually adopted the spelling. My husbands family has several names that this happens to. So that when I start looking it often has a true spelling and an Americanized spelling sometimes for the same person.

Thanks. I was wondering if you are in Bakersfield since you took the picture of her headstone. I did some research and some people state her first husband, Fred Marshall Curtis is buried in the same cemetery. Do you know if she was buried next to him?

|Dorothy Daskam Sargent||Roy Gilchrist l# 112286104|
Is it possible that in copying the cemetery records that the 2 in 12 (for December) was too light to read for the death date of Roy Gilchrist?
The California Death Index gives his death date as Jan 2, 1918.
Thank you so much for all you do for Find A Grave. It is so helpful in locating the place of death for so many of us tracing our families. The placing of additional notes is a welcome bonus. Again, Thanks!

Yes on the death cert - I see that it's there, as well as a photo of the marker, so go ahead and remove my note of "no marker found" - I was under the impression that a photo of her marker did not exist, hence the note. I added his death cert, as well. Gordon
