This memorial for Isaac Hollowell is for the son of Lucy James Slaughter Hollowell and not her husband of the same name. And the children that are linked to this memorial are Isaac's siblings, not his children. Quite confusing I know with father & son having the same name! I cannot find Lucy's husband's grave but someone (you?) states that he died in 1896. I sent you another correction via the edit button. Thanks for your work on F-a-G.

|Marilyn Wherry||Fannie Greenberry Morrow Winstead Gree|
Hi, this is Marilyn Wherry again, since I'm no longer on facebook I must communicate to you through ancestry or Find A Grave. I was working on a different part of my tree and was looking at James Robert Green and his 3 wives. Fannie is really Frances and the G for her middle name is Gilliam, her mother's maiden name per the information I have gathered. but instead of changing anything on your site I just added a comment on my profile of her. I do have some confusion over her 1st husband J. M. Winstead. Was he a Captain or a Major in the Civil War? And when and where were they Married. Marilyn

|Melissa Stewart-Garcia||RE: Hollowell|
Hi. I have sent out so many messages over the past two years that O forget sometimes who they went out to. I started back at school, and that has consumed so much of my time - that and working and being a mom :)
As soon as I finish school, I am determined to focus on the tree and create something that I can share with my kids. I appreciate any pictures and stories you are willing to share. I'm connected to a couple of groups on facebook that are so interesting, but unfortunately, I have come across anyone with info on my family tree. I keep trying!
My email is email@example.com
Thanks so much!

Ura Boyd was my great-grandmother's brother and his mother's name is actually Cornelia Parmenter Boyd. He served in the Civil War for the Confederacy while living in Kentucky. If he is not one of your relatives, I will be happy to maintain his site. Thank you, Debbie

Oh, then you and I are distantly related.
My natural Grandfather was Sherril Price. My grandparents divorced and both remarried. My Grandmother who was married to him was named Evelyn Kirby Greene.
I believe that Thomas would have been his father, or grandfather.
Thank you for the info!

I found this on Family Search.com- an awesome free tool. It is the marriage record of Georgia, but her name is actually "Heatwole" or "Heatwale"

Thanks again so much! I appreciate all the work you have done. Is there anyway I could get access to the Price work up you have done? So far I have drawn a blank after Thomas A. I would love to know where to go from there. For example, when did they immigrate to the US and from where are the Prices? I am kind of doing this for my Mother. I think she would love to know all of this...

|Ani Blair||RE: Thomas A Price|
You and I are kin! Let me fill you in how I figure into it:
My Mother is Gale A (Price) Greene Jackson
Her Mother Evelyn Virginia Greene was married to Sherrill L Price who died in Dade county at the age of 47. He definitely worked for the Circus, and recently I have been told, he was actually a CLOWN with Ringling Brothers. She divorced him quickly, but not before having 3 children, of which my Mother is the eldest.
His brothers names were Dewey and Duke. His Dad was Carl G Price and his mother's name was Agnes (R?).
Carl was born in Neis MS April 17 1891, and his wife in SC according to the US census of years 1940 and 1930
In a US census of 1920, Floy E was listed as a boarder along with Carl G who was listed as two years older. I found the records of Floy, who had draft records and his parents names. I could have erred when I assumed they were brothers, instead of cousins, but I think I saw a document that listed them as brothers.
I am getting a little confused, so any help would be appreciated!

Thank you for your hard work preserving history for others. I am looking for information regarding a grave you posted. I believe that Thomas A Price may be my Great Great Grandfather, and wondered if you have any other information regarding this grave.
Other names I know of other than Inez who is listed, are Floy, Olive, Dewey, and my Great Grandfather Carl G. if I have my facts straight. His wife would have been Virgie.

Today I was at the Confederate Monument in Alton, IL taking some pictures for another Find-A-Grave member. While I was there I decided to take a photo of all the bronze plaques with Names & Military Affiliation so that I might be able to contact the people who were looking for someone in that cemetery. Because of the situation with smallpox and the deaths the deceased were buried on an island in the Mississippi River which over the years has disappeared because of the changing flow of the river. Because of this there are no individual graves at the site but a monument containing the name of 1300+ soldiers who perished.
Since the pictures are very hi-res I figured that if viewed at 100% a person could see the info concerning there family member. After being sunny & in the 70's yesterday; needless to say today was cloudy, cold & windy so it wasn't the best of picture days. I did take a picture that contained Pvt Marion M Ferguson
If you would like I will send you a copy of the picture and if it is what you are looking for I will go back and take a better one for your Find-A-Grave query. You can let me know what you would like to do. You can see Pvt Marion M Ferguson Company D 35th Miss. I do live very close and will take a whole panel shot and then another of just the individual you are interested in. There are pictures of the whole monument already posted a few minutes ago @:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=118794953&PIpi=98200534 plus some others that were taken by someone else.
Sorry for the length,

Hi! Recently became interested in my family tree.
My grandmother, Vivian Annette Hollowell passed before I was ever interested in asking questions about where she came from:(
From what I can gather, her biological father was Sylvester Hollowell, whose father was Eli J. Do you have any info?
Your time is so much appreciated. Connecting the dots is TOUGH!!!

Today this cemetery is 97% photographed! Thank you for adding the memorials. There are a few headstones that are unreadable and many marked with stones. There were also many that I had to add. But that is one less cemetery that is on my bucket list to photograph!

LOL Thanks I wrote to her yesterday telling her I probably added a photo request of hers to a wrong memorial and to check it out. I will fix. It was one of those ah ha moments of "what did I just do" but I had clicked off the memorial so I did not know which one it was. I just returned from Magee, MS. I took photos all the headstones for Old Good Hope but it will take a while to add them.
