We need your help! As we reach the final remaining photo requests at Calvary Cemetery, the photographers need an exact burial location since there are over 100,000 burials. Please call their office at (419) 536-3751 and then update the listing. Thanks!

PS - Hello there Sec412! Actually what has happened is that I've called the office so much to get locations that they are rather annoyed with me by now. Any help regarding the location would be appreciated! Happy Hunting!

Re: Eppie Keranen

I appreciate any information I can add to a memorial.

I actually knew Eppie - he worked for the road commission. I also graduated with his daughter Carol and know by sight his daughter Barb.

Ethel Chase
Sorry about the previous e-mail...typo. Do you feel confident that I have this person right? I am a little unsure. I searched for another Ethel and could not find one, but I do not like the marker saying 1860. That is a huge age mistake.

Ella Brady - 55465136
Sorry I couldn't find Ella for you. I found husband Orville but not Ella.

Ella died in Pasco County, Florida. I'm not saying she wasn't relocated back to Lupton for burial but if she's not here perhaps she was interred somewhere in Florida? Just a thought.

I noticed the person who created Ella's memorial mentions in his profile that he has photographs for all the graves at Lane Heights. While I don't think I missed her, and I did search the entire cemetery, you could contact him and ask him to go through all of the photos he has yet to post and see if he has one for Ella. (And if you do, Orville's date of birth, according to a family tree I saw on Ancestry, was Sep 24 1900 if you wanted to ask him to update it as he has "unknown" listed.)

I've made the connections to Anna's parents and updated her Birth and Death dates. Please let me know if I can do anything else for you. Thanks

RE: Arthur O. Huntley
Sorry, I looked and saw a tombstone by his wife's name and never looked to see that it was just a picture. They are up now.

Newman Churchill
Thank you for the information regarding Newman Churchill's second wife. I have posted that on his memorial.
I have retraced my steps insofar as possible to determine where I found the surname "Pine" for Newman's mother, but I haven't been able to find my source! Usually I keep good track of my sources, but I guess this is, unfortunately, a case in which I did not. For good measure, I have checked out the Public Trees at Ancestry and have discovered that her name is listed as Pine in a few trees, but I realize that you are looking for more dependable documentation.
I apologize for my negligence, and wish you good luck with your research.

The Finch Line
Well, I was going to put someone in touch with you because he was questioning the Finch line but as I came to your message page I see that he has already left you a message about Arad Finch. I will tell him that you research and I photograph so any knowledge would come directly from you. I've taken some time off from Fort Meigs and have been photographing over at Calvary Cemetery because they were up to about 280 photo requests. Their burials number over 100,000, making it a monstrous cemetery that is very hard to find people in. Eventually I will make it back to my own neck-of-the-woods, being around Maumee, Holland, Perrysburg. Hopefully your latest searches have been fruitful!! Take care!

Parents of Arad Finch
I am doing genealogy research on our Finch family and have a question concerning the first names of the parents of Arad Finch. The research I have done shows the first names of his parents as being Joel and Caroline. Can you please tell me the source of where you got the names of his parents, John Finch and Mary Smith? I want to make sure that I have the correct names for the parents of Arad Finch. Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide me with concerning this.

RE: Leishman!
Hi Sharon ~ It's been a long cold winter in MI - so not much picture taking during the winter. I just got on Find A Grave again and saw your messages re: adding photos to Colin & Garfield Leishman. Need to get my kids to bed, but I will try to get to it ASAP!

RE: Taylor & Metcalf photos
Most welcome.
Yes, when I see a request and go to fill it - I try and take photos of everyone on the lot, and a group shot if multiple stones.
I was a bit confused on the Charles & Minetta Taylor lot. on the large monument it says Taylor on one side and Bowen on the other.
Besides Charles & Minetta Taylor - on the " Bowen " side of the stone is Henry & Amy Johnson. There is also a Cora A next to them - but not sure of her last name. She could be a Bowen or Johnson (or both : - D )
William Taylor must have had several wives. Is the Sara A on the site twice ?

Lillian Brogan at Fort Meigs
FYI - Her grave marker is not beside any other Brogan stone. If she is buried beside her husband in section N, Lot 35 then he would be in an unmarked grave.

Norman Finch & The Swanson Family
They are buried beside each other at Fort Meigs. Don't know if that is significant or not but I wanted to let you know.

RE: Orville Putnam site
Hi Sharon ~ Just wanted to let you know that I was out to Forest Lawn again today and searched the family plot for more markers. Sadly, Orville's is the only one in it; there may be other burials there that didn't get stones, but I don't know who keeps the records for the cemetery to check.

Sorry about that ~ seems sad for him to be all alone in it. Robin

Bradly Finch at Ottawa Hills
Hello again. I go to this cemetery once a week during good weather, usually Sundays when they are closed. The thing is, they have over 8000 burials spanning acres and acres of land and they do not approve of volunteer photographers. They cite Privacy Reasons whenever I am caught taking pictures so I go on Sundays when they are closed. Sandy also knows my voice over the phone, as I have to call for grave locations before getting photographs. If you could give them a call to get the grave location, it would certainly help. I tell each new request to please call their office. Many times they don't and so eventually (months later) I will get around to that request. When I first started tackling them, the list was around 160 photos and I got it down to about 80. Now it is back up to about 109 due to winter. Thanks, Pamela Office: 419-536-8321

RE: Finch's in Fort Meigs
The Finches I counted were based on all Finches loaded in the Cemetery at Find A Grave. I'm sure there are probably a few more that don't even have memorials yet, like the one year old Donna Jean that I found near Betty Whitehill.
