|Tina Vinson||Gosnell Heritage|
My Granny was Mary Gosnell her middle name I believe may have been Elizabeth. She is buried in Macedonia Cemetary. I was told she was buried with her Gosnell family. I am unsure if what other Cemetary's they are buried at, but There has to be more. Macedonia can't be the only one. I remember a Great Uncle Everett ( That is one of Mary's siblings) who lived in Cherokee NC I believe. Sorry to say I don't know much about my family heritage. My father Larry Morris Vinson Sr of Toccoa Ga passed away October 21st last year unexpected, after finding out he had a rare cancer Aug 11, 2014. So I can not obtain any information from him. My Grand father had passed before I was ever born but his name is Charlie Vinson buried at Level Grove Cemetary in Cornelia Ga. If you can help me link my family I would greatly appreciate it!! My Surname is Tina Louise Vinson.

|Sharon||Photo of Baby Radigan's memorial|
Thank you SO MUCH for getting the photo of the memorial for Robert Radigan. I am working hard to document my mother's extended family, and that was the only missing photo for my cousin's family. It is very special for us that you were able to complete that portion of the family tree. Thank you!!

|Mike Clark||Bluff View Cemetery and Jesse Edward Davis|
Thank you for your work at this cemetery.
If you return for some reason, can you see if Bud Davis, born 1927, as a son of Jesse Edward Davis has been buried with his parents?
The Father Jesse Edward was buried there in 1972
The son Jimmie Dean was buried there in 1993 from a CA death.
Your photos were apparently in 2013
I am trying to determine if Bud born in 1927 is still alive or not

Thank you so much for making the updates that I have sent you recently. It is greatly appreciated. It gets frustrating when people never respond. It is apparent that you truly care about helping people with their genealogy research.

Thank you for posting the obituary. It helped to fill in some gaps. The obit has 22 May as DOB instead of 21 May. I don't know if you had other information to post it as the 21st, so I didn't change it.

|Jan Bouffard||RE: Prudence Summerville Cookinham|
You're welcome. Thank you for taking photos of the headstones at Silver Lake Cemetery. I've been using them in my family tree on Ancestry.com. I haven't been to Silver Lake Cemetery in over 40 years, and I was surprised to see how the markers have fallen into disrepair. Both my grandmother Prudence Cookinham and great-grandmother Elizabeth Summerville were on the cemetery committee back in the day. One of their objectives was to keep the cemetery neat and in good repair. It seems no one is doing that any more. Also, I've added some photos I have of Charles Henry, Prudence, and the four girls -- Helen, Harriet, Leah and Gertrude -- to their respective memorials.

|Jan Bouffard||Prudence Summerville Cookinham|
Carolyn, your information for location of death for Prudence Summerville Cookinham is incorrect. At the time of her death, she was residing at Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Ames, Iowa. Prudence is my grandmother and she did live with her step-daughter Leah Cookinham Forster (my mother) and family in Gurnee, Illinois from 1951 to 1967. In the fall of 1967, she went to live in Ames, Iowa with her daughter, Gertrude Cookinham Smith. It was determined that Prudence needed more specialized care and that's when she became a resident of Riverside Manor (early 1968 as I remember). She was there about 2 years before her death on 03 Dec 1969; we buried her at Silver Lake Cemetery in Ayrshire, Iowa on 06 Dec 1969 (in one of the worst blizzards I've ever seen). Thanks in advance for making this change on Nanny's memorial. She helped raise me from a baby to a teenager, and I miss her every day.

|Roger Dimick||Lyle Dimick|
Carolyn, thank you for all the work you have done on Bluff View Cemetery. One comment which may have been written by you is "Lyle Dimick may not be buried in Bluff View". I assure you he is, but in some of the cemetery I have seen he is reported to be buried in the Horace Edwin Dimick plot. He is not there, because I have seen his grave. I was just at Bluff View this week and walked around specifically looking for his burial plot. He was not next to him mother and father, which I thought might be the case because (I think) Lyle never married. I was a small boy (five or six) when he passed away, and I remember "Aunt Mary" very well. She doted on me and other kids a lot that day. Wish I could give you the specific location, but it is in Bluff View. You and I are "shirt tail" relatives...not connected by blood...but we do have some commonality in our genealogies.

|Old Waco||Hamlett Julian|
I think it would be very appropriate to place a memorial site on findagrave for Hamlett Julian at the Lower Benson Presbyterian Cemetery since so many of the early members of this family were buried in this cemetery. You have gathered so much information on him and are most welcome to do this if you wish.
Thanks for preserving his memory.

|Deb Redmon||County Poor Farm|
I can find little in the way of stating if the Alms Houses/Poor Farms had burial grounds on them. What I did find leads me to believe they did not. I found records giving who was the keeper of the one in Bridgeport at various times. I also happened to have a "duh" moment and thought to look at my property map of Bridgeport and it shows it's location. It was literally just outside of Bridgeport. Based on the map, I would say it was on the property located on the East side of the old drive-in.
As for burials, I found that the city and county apparently had a common graveyard. I could find very little in the way of records, but there was one where they approved a new fence. Another made reference to it being "just outside the city up the hill." This one makes me believe that the burials were done in Greenhill as many locals still today say it was the pauper's graveyard.
If you want all of the notes I was able to make, just let me know. Once the courthouse is back in order (if that ever happens) I will inquire to their clerk's office to see where any records they may have on it are at and try to view some of them.

|Walter Chisholm||RE: County Poor Farm and Almshouse|
I inquired and got this response...
"The only County Poor Farm I am familiar with was located off US127 South. Turn east onto Miles Lane across from Sach's Grocery and go out that road a few miles. You come to Wash Road which turns to the right. It was somewhere in this area. Several months ago there was an article in the State Journal about the Poor Farm. Someone has purchased the property and has been remodeling the buildings."
That's all I can find out.
