Troy Rodman
RE: Isaac P. Rodman decedent
We have the book you referenced in your note. Have you been to the Rodman home on the national register on the harbor in NY? It sits on the site that was once the Rodman Slip, a ship docking port that the red coats landed on during the start of the war. Have you looked into the DAR? our line is documented back to Joseph Rodman from Bucks County PA. I also have a book containing wills and estates that list many Rodman's within RI.

Kind Regards. Troy Rodman

Good hearing from you and hope you made it through the storm with little issue.

I have the Rodman book you spoke of. Very good information and all I know is what is in that book. I have given a lot of information from our line to John Rodman in Bucks County and back to R.I. to the DAR library in Washington. I also found further information on Rodmans at the Geneolegy Library in Boston. I was thrilled to see the clean up at the cemetery as I have wanted to see it and now I can. The Kingston R.I. Historical Society has also been helpful in the past when I spoke with them.

The Rodman book you speek of talks about out family connection to the ships involved in the tea party, the Rodman Slip in N.Y. where some of the British landed and much more. That book was printed in 1883 I think, just a few years from the birth of my Great Grandfather. It is "spot on" going back as far as every one in our family can recall.

I have the book on the Rodman Family from the 1600 - 1886. We have been to Barbados and gathered documents of the family and slaves and their land deals in R. I. We are all from John and Thomas Rodman from Barbados. We also have estate documents in books found in Boston. Our family is from the Brother that moved onto Buck County PA and then Zansville, OH and then IL. working with A. Lincoln in central IL. I am a SAR and our Daughter will be a DAR this spring. Our Revolutionary father is Joseph Rodman from Warwick county in PA. We have a strong history of Rodman's in IL. in Law and Government from Bloomington - Hoopston - Danville IL. Have you seen the Joseph Rodman house on tour in NY on the harbor? Also we have a couple homes along York road in PA. in Bucks County. Our family has much history.
