|Jan Rader||Herb and Henrietta Brass Stone|
Thanks so much for taking a photo of Herb and Henrietta's gravestone in Grove Cemetery in Hamilton! I took one of the same stone in 1976, but have been unable to find it, so I really appreciate it. Herb was my grandmother's second cousin, and he would often come with Henrietta to visit us in Indiana when I was a child (I was visiting Henrietta in 1976 when I took the photo - Herb was already deceased). Thanks again!

Dr Hope's Obit was found at the Deseronto Archives. They have listed many obits from the late 1800's in the Deseronto Tribune. If you google Deseronto Archives, you will find it.

I have no problem at all with putting more info on the page. Better yet, if you would like to do so, I'm happy to transfer, I'm not related.

|Jim McConkey||Nancy McConkey Moore|
First, thanks so much for the information about Jane McConkey McKay, buried in the Auld Kirk Cemetery, Bradford, Simcoe, Ontario. In the accompanying message, you alluded to Jane's will which mentioned Jane's sister, Nancy McConkey Moore. Do you know where the will could be accessed? I'm trying to locate her grave and other information about her.
My paternal grandfather was born in Bradford but died at North Tonawanda, N.Y. I have all the minutes from the McConkey reunions held in Canada and the US from 1917 until 1933. Our oldest ancestors in the "New World" were Thomas and Sarah Porter McConkey, buried in the 6th Line Cemetery, Innisfil, Simcoe, Ontario.

|Peter Williams||Cruthers enquiry|
I have just read the information piece accompanying the photo for Margaret Jane Culbert Crothers. It states that her husband William Cruthers was born in Armagh, Ireland. Could you tell me where that information was obtained?
I am researching my mothers side of the family and have found that the Crothers came to Canada from the north of Ireland around 1825 and initially settled in Ormstown, Quebec. Samuel, one member of this family settled in Hope township, Durham County, Ontario about 1846. One of his sons was William, born 1827, who I believe is the William who married Margaret Culbert.
Thanks for your help and for all the work you have done to record this important part of Canadian history,

I hope the Frederick Paget information that I found is the person you were looking for. (Frederick Paget, buried 1954, Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada). If you would like a gravestone photo, just make a new photo request and in the summer I can get to it.

I see that you have a Robert Couch at Barrie Union, I have found two daughters (Ellen and Mary Jane) of Robert and Mary Couch at St. Peter's
in Churchill. I can not locate the father and mother, I was wondering if you by chance had any info on them.

|Shirley Hackett||RE: Fanny Ann Brandon Conron|
You are very welcome--looks good on the memorial.
Re any other Conrons--wasn't me who sent any information, although I think I mentioned to you that there is a fairly detailed tree on ancestry dot com. I have no Conron ancestors, and no Conron memorials on find a grave.
Merry Christmas and best for the New Year to you too !

I could tell you it was far out of the way, but it's actually close to my parents' place and I was out there anyway. Your grave markers are actually right in front of my friends' markers which I visit whenever I'm nearby. I'm happy I could help you out.

|Jackie Houston||RE: dixon photos|
I joined to hopefully get a photo from my Uncle in France, he died in WW1. I will never get over to take the photo for myself. I thought pay it forward would maybe bring a picture my way. I drive coach bus, and this can not be my hobbie, I don't have time to sit and post photo's to the sight I just have zero time for that. If you want the photo's email me I will send them to you, and you may post them, not being rude, just being honest I don't have time for that

Thank you for the update on this couple. The cemetery records were lost to fire in the mid 50's and were rebuilt from memory and news papers. One day different is no concern....I have found some off by 10 years.

I transferred that last memorial you requested. I saw you had sent a reply and went to check it on my "new" IPhone, which I am still learning to use. I lost the message. If it was just a thanks, don't worry about sending again, but if you needed anything else, I'll need the message re-sent.
