I would like very much to have the other photos to see if there are others I do not know that are buried there.

Transfers from Elim Cemetery
All done!

As it gets cooler, I hope to get back to the cemetery and finish it up. I only have about 20% photodocumented and I really want to get it complete. It was hot and brutally muggy when I did what is now posted. Fall is just around the corner though!

Hi!

It has been a while since I checked my bio page and just saw this. If you will send this request as a SAC (Suggestion and Correction) under the edit tab for each memorial, I have no problems. This is to ensure I send you the right memorials. Thanks!

Re: Multiple Requests.
Medina, Thanks so very much for the super efforts in doing all my many requests for photos of headstones. It must have seemed overwhelming with so many requests, but you accomplished all very quickly. KUDOS to you and all the other angels who do all the hard work that most of us are not able to do because of distances. You are very much appreciated and we could not move ahead without you in our efforts at family history!!!!! Thanks many times over!!!!!!!!!! Mary

Thank you very much for the Butler photo from Graceland Cemetery. It was especially interesting as I did not know William Butler was buried there and the death date for him is 14 years different from my records! Thanks again!

Hi!

I am not related. I am trying to get the Elim Cemetery photodocumented in bits and spurts - when it is not too hot or raining. I live very close to the cemetery.

Alonzo A. CONNER, "Lonnie," Screven County, Georgia
Dear Medina COOPER,

The memorial for Alonzo A. CONNER, "Lonnie," at North Newington Baptist Church (New Site) now further clarifies the use of the State of Georgia Standard Certificates of Death as primary sources in establishing parentage. This information, other than the maiden name of Lonnie CONNER's mother, was consistent with the long available data from his parents' Effingham County marriage license and certificate, and from the family's enumeration in the Screven County censuses for 1870 and 1880, three additional sources which we should also consider as primary evidence.

Please cite your sources as well - are they primary evidence, say Bible records, or court proceedings, &c.? Even one source which conflicts is of course a serious matter, for a memorial which misrepresents does not truly honor. I appreciate your asking, so that the memorial for Alonzo A. CONNER, "Lonnie," is improved, and again it's very important that any additional sources which document this man's life come to light.

Incidentally, the father is most likely a namesake of a prominent Savannah attorney of the early 19th Century, but there is not even a secondary source for such speculation.

May God Bless You and Your Family,

Bob ><>
