Hello Lorna,

I have searched the cemetery lots and the records for this request but havent come up with anything. may have overlooked it and will go back again.

Are you positive that she is buried here? If so, do you have any other info that might help me locate the stone. I work with the cemetery and am happy to help

Sharon

RE: Jessie Webster NOVICE/ROBERTSON/HAMILTON
Hi Lorna
Thanks for the data re Jessie Webster ROBERTSON. I also have her as Jessie W NOVICE on a marriage registration to John HAMILTON in Elma, Ontario. I will upload the reg (source: Ancestry.com). She is listed on that site as Jessie (Jane/Jannet) MOVICE/NOICE. She married William ROBERTSON and after his death she married John HAMILTON. Does this fit with what you know of her? I found a marriage registration for her son George Robertson to Margaret INGLIS in Elma. His mother's maiden name is recorded as NOVY. Yet another variation.
Thanks again for the data on Jessie.
Cheers
Rob

Jessie Webster NOVICE/ROBERTSON/HAMILTON
I have John HAMILTON (1810-1887) born in Dumfriesshire & died in Elma, Ontario. After a long marriage to Joan BRYDON (c1809-1879, buried at Elma), he married Jessie Webster NOVICE in Elma on 27 Dec 1883 at 74 years of age. Witnesses at the wedding of John & Jessie were her son Alexander ROBERTSON (1859-1888) & Sarah ERSKINE (relative of her deceased husband, William Robertson, 1822-1878, buried in Elma). Son Alexander married Betsy Oliver ERSKINE (c1858-1932).
Jessie died 28 Oct 1892 & was buried as ROBERTSON. It is noted (on findagrave.com)that there was some conjecture re her birth year on the death certificate. This information may affect the relationships in my family tree. Am I able to access the death registration you refer to, as I have been unable to find a death registration for Jessie as NOVICE, ROBERTSON or HAMILTON on any site.
Hope you can help me with this issue.
Best regards
Rob Henderson

Richard Francis Sharpin died 15 Jun 1893 at age 10, son of Richard Sharpin and Hannah M. Pointon/Pointer. Buried with parents in the Molesworth Cemetery, Huron County, Ontario, Canada. Please add his Death date to his existing record on Findagrave.com

Everytime I try to list his records as a contributer, findagrave quits responding when I attempt to add Onterio to the form??

Jacob Schaub Family
Hi Lorna,
I'm not well versed as to the ins and outs of how this site works so forgive me. Just happened to come upon this. I am a distant relative of the Jacob Schaub family and have been trying to find information on them forever. Can you tell me what church I might contact regarding them or do you have any other information on Jacob, Agnes, Michael, Lucy or Emma? I have reason to believe Emma may have been a school teacher. Any information would be appreciated. The family originated from Perth County, Ontario, and I do have information for anyone else interested in what I might provide. Thank you!

Grve of Christoph Fischer in Brodhagen Cemetery
Hi Lorna,

Looking at your info on this site, I have never found a stone for Christoph Fischer. Is there actually a stone? Where does the specific birth date of December 9, 1793 come from?

Thanks,

Jim Fischer

Donna Hoffmann
Edward Code (Cade)
Hello, thank you for your all you do to help descendants find their history.
I think there might be an error in the parentage for Edward Dyer Code (Cade) b 1857. With information from the Canadian Census of 1861, I believe E.D. parents were George Code b 1800/01 in Ireland and Sarah Boyd Code b 1800/01 also born in Ireland.
George had a son named Samuel b.1824.
Could the information attached to Samual be correct as well?
Best regards, Donna

Hi, Dale again. I am curious where you obtained the birth and death dates, plus There is a question of His middle name, I can see the middle initial of 'B' on the grave marker, but that is not His middle initial. My records show different birth day and middle name.

Clelands of Perth
I saw that you set this up and was wondering if you have any other info on the Clelands living in that area. There are 4 of us that are working together to try to tie the clelands of Ontario to the Clelands that were in NY and then Chicago.

Thanks, Kathy

RE: JOHN HALL born 7July 1852 and died 22 Dec. 1938
Okay. That is great. I didn't really look that close at the dates. I am guessing their father probably never immigrated to Canada. So, the Margaret Hall on the 1891 Census, was actually his sister-in-law. I know when looking at many of the gravestones in Scotland many of the women were still named with their Maiden Names.
Thanks for clarifying that. My search for the Middleton family has been for Christina MIDDLETON's younger brother Andrew Spark MIDDLETON, born on 13 May 1884. I have found a military registration with the birthdate, of 13 May 1881 in 1918 Montana with another sister Elsie MASSIE(transcribed as MERCY) who was Elspet MIDDLETON MARRIED TO WILLIAM MASSIE. So this is him. And I have him immigrating to New York in 1907. I believe there was another Census ? 1910 in Montana. But have hit a brick wall.
All of the Public Trees have nothing on him. That is why I started looking at siblings as I had heard he went to Ontario, but to date, have found nothing.
Anyways, thank you, again,
Judy

JOHN HALL born 7July 1852 and died 22 Dec. 1938
You did mention that there was a question about John HALL's parents. You are partially correct. His father was Walter HALL but his mother was Annie BEATTIE. I believe that the Census taker made a mistake on the 1891 Census.
The Margaret HALL I believe is his sister that is a widow. If you check the ages, this seems to be correct. So the gravestone marked Margaret Roper HALL IS ACTUALLY HIS SISTER AND WALTER HALL's daughter.
I too wonder why the gravestones cannot be shared on Ancestry.com. It certainly would help the family members that cannot afford to travel to Ontario to take pictures of their family members.
Thank you for sharing this on Find a grave and I will make sure to pass on this information on their family members but also of your request to not post the pictures that you have taken on Ancestry.com.
Thank you again,
Judy ANDERSON nee STABLES
