Good afternoon, I was looking at Thomas Jasper Tarpley's memorial that you just added. It has a birth date of Jan 3 1828 and his original memorial says Jul 3 1828. I was just wondering if you know why this difference. Do you have evidence for the jan date? Just curious since I am trying to trace him back and not having any luck. Thank you for making that correction, and linking other siblings to my Grandmother from the Lakeview Cemetery. Ida V. McCravey is one of my Grandmother's sisters. Several of her siblings are at the Lakeview cemetery, and she didn't want to be buried there. Her father was Leroy Emmett McCravey and her mother went by her middle name of Betulia.
Ancestry.com has been helpful,but for some reason all the children do not appear. I think sometimes due to the mistakes of country Doctors, when you type in the correct spelling, they don't show up. Of all the children of Arvin and Bonnie only one child had a correct birth certificate. My Mother was born Bonnie Jaunell (her middle name was misspelled as Wynell) Arvana's birth certificate has his first name spelled as Arvin, George's middle name was misspelled as Mickrel,and Waldo both first name and middle name misspelled...it's Adrian Waldo West instead of "Ardin Wildo) and the last child Shirley Oreta,her name was spelled correctly. I was somewhat surprise to find my Grandmother listed at Find A Grave...thank you for doing that. I did notice a strange thing, and that was the name "Leroy" as a maiden name. LeRoy was her father's first name.It's also interesting that you have the 1940 census record listed. I am currently working on genealogy and have yet to find the existence of Marguirete West...as none of Bonnie's children even remember any child by that name. Of course census records can have mistakes, as my Mother is listed as "Jewel" when her name is Jaunell.
