Hi Helen,

Actually, Annemarie Gerace is the one who took the picture, you would need to thank her for it.

Lucretia Bush, Busti Cemetey
Hurrah. I finally found her. I had to chalk it to be doubly sure. You can see a before and after picture. There's a bunch of people listed with her, she's the next to the last. If these people aren't already listed, if you'd like to list them then I will add the photo. OK?

Hi Helen,

I was so busy describing our adventure in the Stiles cemetery that I forgot to say you're welcome to use the photos on your family tree.

RE: Lena E. Powell
Thanks for your observation. I will try to find out if Mt. Sinai Lena is really there. I entered her as per Masing's records, but having no dates or any other info, while Riverview Lena does, leaves me to suspect maybe Mt Sinai Lena is in error. Lena and Eli's son Elias is at Mt. Sinai. I have the original burial permit book for Mt Sinai and although Elias is in there [1880] Lena is not[1932]. I have contacted a lady in TX who knows about Lena's mother and when I hear from her I will let you know. I am inclined to believe that she is not at Mt. Sinai.

Thanks for catching the Lena, that is buried at Mt. Sinai. The person that entered her is a friend of mine, I have contacted him to see what he has on her. I checked the plat book I have for River View, and it shows the Lena I have entered is buried beside her husband Eli.

Old Lebanon Cem.
hello! I am the current caretaker of the Old Lebanon and someone else notified me that you had posted the pic of Anna Hawkins. I wondered when you had taken it, but it looks like we may have just started on it. I see mowed grass, but much brush! All of the brush is gone now and a new fence has been built! Much more has happenened! If you would like, I am accepting any donations to help buy gas, oil, belts, and blades to keep the place visitable! I am also having a huge stone marker made w/ the name of the site on will be placed when the weather warms up again! PLease feel free to visit again, but call me first, Tracie 304-661-1915 Thanks for your support!

You're welcome.

We thought Nancy would be with Daniel, however, my wife couldn't find any signs of her there.

RE: William Logan at Oak Ridge
You are very welcome Helen! Live and learn...I did think about taking Mary's picture while I was out there, but I talked myself out of it because you had not asked for it. Shoot! If I find time this week, I will run back out (12 miles from here) and snap it for you.

FELIX 5574
Mort Darling
Is Mort's given Mort name or is it something else? I'm not trying to be smart or anything but I don't know. The reason I am asking is because, to the right Of Benjamin is Lovisa and to Benjamin's left is a Barton Darling. I looked for about 5 hrs today in this cemetery and I did not see a Mort Darling anywhere.

RE: Clarence Abbott

Apologies for the lack of response but life and work gets in the way of genealogical fun.

I am on although my Abbott tree is currently private as I source and confirm data. Happy to provide you access should you wish to take a look.

The tree is coming along nicely as is the book detailing the descendants of George Abbott, immigrant ancestor.

Best regards,

RE: Catherine Congleton Mathieson

I have a theory about Catherine's grave. I suspect it may have always been unmarked. Her husband, George, actually has a military memorial. She has 4 children buried near her in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.... I wonder if there wasn't anyone to put a stone up for her besides George? Maybe it was a lack of funds on his part? Just guessing.....

RE: Catherine Congleton Mathieson
I don't know if there was ever a headstone there. One would have thought so but it's hard to know what happened. The records for the cemetery are pretty slim.

Cedar Hill is a truly lovely place and is one of the oldest cemeteries in the area.

May I ask our relation to Catherine?

You are welcome. As I see good light on some
of the gravestones I am retaking photos. They
are much sharper. Plus I have a camera that's
better then my previous one.
Good to hear from you again, have a good day.
