Mark Lay
Barkey family at Old St. Peter & Paul
Hi Momstore,
I just wanted to make a correction for Arthur C. Barkey and his wife Katherine Feick at plot 999.
Arthur's wife Katherine, son Russell and daughter Henrietta were moved to Laurel Hills 9 January 1948. This leaves only Arthur C. Barkeys father Frederick, 9 Sept 1907,
Arthur C. brother, also a Fred 30 December 1939.
Arthur C. Sister Eleana Marie, 12 June 1885
Arthur C. brother Alex, 4 November 1887,
Arthur C. Brother Gustav, 19 June 1892.
Of course you could not have known that.
Arthur C. Barkey is not a direct ancestor, he is a 1st cousin trice removed. I'm also a member of Findagrave. Number 47557219.
Thanks, Mark

I am not sure why you insist on transferring this memorial to me when I have told you this is a mistake. I do not know who this person is and have no interest in her. I transferred her back to you, so you might transfer her to the original requestor. If you prefer, I can just delete her entirely and be done with the matter. Your choice.

Not sure your requested edits on Maria are correct. Tombstone gives birth year as 1820. Census' vary - 1860 (age 43 - 1817, 1880 (age 58 - 1818) & 1900 (age 80 - 1820), but none are in the 1825 range. Obit gives age as 85 & birth yr 1818.

Carol Sturdy
#125097200 Margaret Sturdy Bartsch
Hello
I need your help on this memorial (125097200) Margaret Sturdy Bartsch and also (46742251) George Herbert Bartsch.

Margaret Sturdy B:1850 IS the daughter of Oswald Sturdy (1797-1865) and Susan Catherine Craemer Sturdy (181101880) but I do NOT believe she is the wife of George Bartsch. George Herbert Bartsch (46742251) was born Mar 1892 and this Margaret is born 1850. She would have been 12 years older.

PER the 1900 Federal Census - Missouri

Arthur Bartsch - B:Sep 1862 Head of Household
Maggie Bartsch - B:Mar 1869 Wife
(daughter of George Henry Sturdy & Emily Eoff)
Geo. Bartsch - B:Mar 1892 son
Albert Sturdy - her brother age 16
Arthur Sturdy - her brother age 15

I have a death certificate for Margaret Bartsch (widow) with informant as Arthur O Sturdy still living in the household.

Any help and or correspondence would be great.

Thank you, Carol Sturdy

Fred Ahlbrecht
Fred Ahlbrecht was my great uncle, one of several family members buried in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. I added him, not realizing he was already in the system, so now he has two separate records in Find a Grave. I was able to add family info to my entry, including his wife, Gertrude who is buried next to him, but has no grave marker. Carol

RE: Thanks
I am not related to them but they were dear friends of ours. Right now you can keep the memorial page. Bobs sisters name was Betty Miller or Mueller and her husband was Dave. Betty died a few years after Bob and Dave died about 5 years ago. If I get this info I will let you know. If I get more time I may ask for their memorial but for now it looks like it is good hands. Their Daughter Suzie Alycock died about 30 days after her mom passed. Ruth died of cancer. For a year or so Suzie was going to a chiropractor and finally the chiropractor told her she needed to see a physician, by that time her cancer was stage 4. It was a tumor on her lung that was causing her back pain. When her mother was sick Suzie couldn't help get her mother up or turn her over. I am still amazed at how many people are out there doing all this work on Find A Grave. I got my sister interested and now she has 700 memorial pages. Most are from a cemetery close to where she lives. Will get back to you.

Just wanted to say thank you for your memorial page for Robert and Ruth Huebner. You have all the brothers listed and linked but Bob also had a sister Betty. She is deceased but for the life of me I can not remember her husbands name. They lived in Waterloo and he to has passed. They also have a daughter Suzie that passed in 2011 her last name is Aycock. Not sure where she is buried. Will try to gather this info and get it to you, but for now I just wanted to say "thank you" for your work on their memorial

Margaret (Corrigan) Murray #150304156
Hello,

The information you've recorded about this burial is a delightful surprise to me because Margaret Murray has been a bit of a "family tree" mystery. In July, I spent a week in Cathedral Cemetery searching old records and cleaning gravesites looking for her. May I ask how you found this information -- I'm impressed and very grateful to you. Thank you!

Memorial 10448366
Hi,
I think this James Burns is one of my relatives
and I just noticed the memorial created by Bev. This memorial has information that we are researching, so I am wondering where the original information came from. I have never seen this info anywhere and would love to trace it to be sure it is correct. We are not sure of Mary's last name and the names of her husbands. Thanks for any help you can give me.
