The picture I took was of Britton David Esmon's first wife ~ Synthia Ann Patterson Esmon. I'm so sorry. I've worked the entire cemetery and cannot find this lady's marker. Do you have some proof that she is actually buried there? Thanks.

Mike: I must apologize, the picture I took of the tombstone was not a marker for this lady. I have finished recording the entire cemetery and must say that I did not find a marker for this lady. I do apologize.

I transferred John, Eunice and Orlando White to your care, so you can have the full family connections. I would have gladly transferred them when I transferred the other family members, but time was of the essence that day.
Best wishes on your continued journey here at Find A Grave. Sarah, daughter of Butterfly~Kisses

Your welcome for the updates and I did link Lucinda (Slocum) White to her husband Porter White. I have also transferred these 5 White family members to your care, Porter, Lucinda, John Porter, Ellen & Nellie. I checked with my siblings (they too have their family memorials done by Mom on here as well) to see your "White" family was any part of their family lineages and they said no, so I checked with Mom (this is her thing) and she said to go ahead and transfer them to you.

|gone_fishing - unless_you_email||declines w/ new edit software|
It looks like if the manager does a manual edit first, or perhaps accepts the same edit from another contributor, then does the decline process after the previous edit, the decline comes up "No change" in both the current and edit fields.
So a valid edit that has been accepted can be evolved into an electronic decline when in reality it has been accepted. It's a small bug in the process that perhaps admin needs to address.
This new system has been in place in the National Cemeteries for about a year. In general it works well logging edit requests where contributors can't just delete the SAC and go about business as usual.
Don't let declines stop you from standing up for what is right.

Hi Sue - Thank you for the information. I found it in my spam folder of all places this morning (did not think about looking there the other day). Anyway I did add the obituary to Mr Boltons bio and since you are a decendent I just transferred management of his memorial to you. Good luck in your research! Cindy

Hi Mike - Thank you so much for the information on Mr. Bolton. Based on what you had I also updated his spouses name and added links. You mentioned that you will be sending an obituary for Mr. Bolton. Just to let you know I have not received it as of yet. Thank you Cindy

I guess this is a perfect example of why i hesitate to add info into people's memorial pages. Family records can be very accurate or way off. I found 2 examples in written records passed on and written in family histories that i've gotten my hands on. My 3rd Great Grandfather 1st name was wrong and he was said to have been killed at Gettysburg. This sent us on a wild goose chase. Ended up finding his correct name on a child's death record. This sent us on the right path. Civil War injury but far from Gettysburg. He was mustered out and dissapeared. Who knows when the Gettysburg story was created but i suspect it was a story made up to cover up the fact that he prob. abandoned his wife and children. The other story account.....contained in a very professionaly put together family booklet has my Grandmother married to her son. My whole branch of this family was "slaughtered" in regards to the facts. That was the worst but awful! I've had different people write to me in regards to certain memorials with totally different facts. I end up deleting all the info and just stick to what's on the tombstone. Which is what i will do in this case.....I'll put in the links you gave to me and put your name down as the source....You're welcome to use my picture for your family records.....
I hope this is ok.....

I don't mind adding the info but your date of death is different than that on the stone. It says Sept. 4..........you've given me Sept 12.

Thank you for your updates. I have updated the information you wished, except I could not connect Eleanor Bolton to her parents as that memeorial is managed by someone else. I would be happy to transfer the Eddy memorials to you if you wish and any others, just drop me a line.

Doesn't her tombstone show the 19th as her death day? (Instead of the 15th)

I really appreciate you photographing the Morton stone in Indiana for us. Our family was surprised how similar it is to our Morton family stone in Cleveland, Ohio. Thanks again.
